I've heard about it on another message board but didn't participate. Now I'm kicking myself in the ass for not doing it.
anyone hear of this?
the basics are, you burn a cd of mixed music (whatever music you want). say there are 10 people in the loop and you are number 1. you send your cd to number 2 and receive a cd from number 10. then you burn number 10's cd for yourself and send the original off to number 2, until your cd finaly makes it back to you. in the end you have 9 cd's from other people with a wide range of music to listen too.
this might work when we have more people here. but it's something to think about in the future.

so i don't confuse anyone. i'm not talking about a cd of 'loops'. it would be a cd of real full length songs. (not mp3) whatever you can fin on an 80min disc. |

Sounds like a pretty good idea as long as you get people to keep on sending the CDs. I'm sure I'd be willing to give it a shot, espicially if the songs are CD quality not MP3s.

Al Okada is a fine musician. I missed his live gigs here in ontario cuz I was swamped with school shit. Perhaps it's a coincidence but Al pretty much always wears black. I think I might wear all black - all the time - before I record again. I need the help. For everyone else's information: www.microbunny.com it is analog techno/ambient/triphop... sort of... with live drums, double bass, etc.. uhh, I'm messing this up. go to site - NOW (eh?) !!!

Wouldn't it be cooler if you made a tree (what you call a loop) that sent of complete, live shows of Frank Black (or any other similar artist)...Would seem like this made a lot more sense...
What some people do is that they "seed" two or three particular shows. So say you had an artist recorded at 11.02.01 and one at 12.02.01 and you wanted to spread this. One person sends it to two people. These people send it to two other people each, etc, etc until you reach the end of the "branch". Usually people also send back to their "father" as well...Anyone interested? |

I'm up for trading, however I need to do it reletively quickly as I'm gonna be in England for a few months, which will be the time to do it. Getting stuff sent to China is iffy because 1) it takes an age to get here, and 2) it'll probably get stolen, or confiscated by the Chinese authorities as potential Falun Gong propoganda |

K k, so if anyone's got a complete, GOOD QUALITY (that means NO mp3 sources, not necessarily soundboard capture, audience is cool too :p) show they'd like to spread to the world and has some experience with trading and preferably also with trees, LET US KNOW in this post...Then we can sort out the details later... |

hey thomas, i could fashion some sort of webpage that could be an appendage of this site, where 10 people can sign up for a trading loop. and all the appropriate addresses will be given to those who sign up and we can go from there. this seems like a good idea, and it would work if we organized it and made it easier for people. what do you think?
