A big broken heart? Say it ain't so, Frank.

Thanks, Andy! Guess we better get our liquor lined up for the release date, huh? We can have some sort of drunken online release party. |

I'll bring the wine. Be warned, though--I'm a maudlin drunk! |

I suspect that you would reflect the tone of the album perfectly. Life cannot be lived until it is perceived as tragedy. Yes, I am pissed.
Nadine sounds damn good though

i'm totally down for the drunken online listening - we should pick a time and all get hammered and start the CD and discuss as it plays

I'd like to point out that the line Bill Goodman quoted was awesome, but moreover, the following made my heart stop and or me change underwear several times:
quote:
Man, it is freezing around here. Frank Black Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
That was some weird weather we had. Dropped to -10 the day before FB arrived (prior to this it had been record highs of +15-18 Celsius) and went back up four days after he left. And then back down. But we're on an up part now, it was 28 today. Come back Frank... just wait until the ides of May. (what's with me and these JC references lately). |

Sounds like it might be Rich Gilbert, but I could very well be wrong. i only listened to it once, and it was late last night when I was hella tired and a little stoned. |

I have been waiting all along for Frank to put out an album like this...

Do you have Realplayer installed? If so, it should open when you click the link in your browser. |

You might need RealPlayer One (the newest version) to play it...it seems like more and more Real-streams are requiring that update to play stuff. At least from my own experience....but don't be fooled, there is a version of it they charge you for but there is also a FREE one (that I downloaded the other day). |

ya, crazy weather in april. i thought the gods were messing with us. i remember he was leaving winnipeg for the 9 hour drive to Saskatoon and there's a big snow storm coming in . so i'm thinking maybe the band will say screw this. but i forgot these are the catholics- the're here to spread the good news of frank!! amen. peace brother.

sounds like frank's really hurting. great for us that he channels that energy into great music. anyone know what's going on with frank's personal life (not that it's any of my business). but sometimes it's nice to know a bit about an artists personal situation so you can appreciate the art on a greater level. obviously frank's not being shy about sharing his heart with us. i think i'll go have another scotch and listen to nadine again. |

Yeah, I don't have to tell you how worried we were that it might be cancelled... who ever heard of highways being closed for snow storms and slippery conditions in April? But they came through and we are eternally grateful. And then they did the same thing again to Regina (except 2 hour drive in good weather), and this time we did it with them, and man, even that was not pretty. I don't know who drives their bus, but my hat goes off to him (could be a her, but it's more likely a male since the band is entirely male). I just continue to hope that it wasn't enough to prevent them from coming back. |

I agree - I think this album is going to be Frank's "Blood on the Tracks"

Chiggity check this:
http://streamboxsuite.xrs.net/
Use streambox vcr to convert the streaming real file into a downloaded one. Then streambox ripper will convert it into an mp3 for you. I think the legality of this may be questionable. |
