Meet the Parents is a classic, but I thought Zoolander was just ok.

I just saw Zoolander and thought it was good. Not a classic, but good. I like Ben Stiller, but prefer Owen Wilson. You should check out Shanghai Noon (I think that's the title) with Owen Wilson and Jackie Chan. Wilson is awesome in that one.

Ben Stiller was also good in Something about Mary.

I thought Zoolander was hi-fuckin-larious. Meet The Parents has some funny moments but its a little cheesy at points. Flirting with Disaster is great!

Meet the Parents is OK, I prefer the oddness and hilarity of Zoolander, and Shanghai Noon is funny but I remember it being really long and it just seemed to drag a bit.

I *hate* Ben Stiller. He annoys the living shit out me. Just from the commercials, I can tell Zoolander is utter shit. Meet The Parents got on my nerves...it was soooo predictable, and "disaster" comedies make me uneasy, I dunno. You know, comedies where bad shit just keeps happening.

I agree with El Barto about what I call "everything goes wrong" movies, very few have been made that work well (for the record, "After Hours" and "Planes Trains and Automobiles" are the only ones I can think of). Stiller got kind of typed as the everyman that we relate with in movies like Meet the Parents. That said--I liked him in Royal Tenenbaums and Flirting With Disaster.

ZOOLANDER is fucking genius and you guys are crazy.

no, i can definitely recognize the flaws with ZOOLANDER.. there are few really dumb parts.. but i'm with proverbial, i love how odd it is. and Will Ferrell is absolute genius in that. it's worth it for Will Ferrell alone.

MTP is a couples movie. I only watch it with my gf, but we both know every line.
I think scene in Keven's house is the best, especialy the ill-fated vollyball game.

zoolander is definitely one of the funiest movies ever, but I guess I really like stupid movies so if you don't like stupid movies then zoolander is gonna be "pure shit".

I think the world can be pretty cleanly divided as people who loved Dumb & Dumber and those that didn't. Those of us in the Dumb & Dumber camp liked Zoolander.

i really enjoy zoolander - its hillarious but dumb, definetely have to be in a mood for it - in general, i'm not a huge stiller fan, though i enjoyed his directing of the cable guy and loved the royal tenenbaums, despite his presence

oh, and i fucking hate meet the parents

Oh yeah, Mystery Men... I'm a big fan. "God's given me a gift. I shovel well. I shovel very well."
Well, turns out the only Ben Stiller movie that I really don't like is Meet The Parents.

yeah, well she's funny usually, but she tends to turn up in the same role most of the time(the girl whos smart and witty but all the guys look past her to the pretty blonde) but in mystery men she's funny.

I would recommend James Toback's 'Black and White' as a good Stiller film although nothing like a typical one, an ensemble cast so he isn't really in it that much although he does have a phone rant to end the film. Also watch the bit where he walks with Claudia Schiffer, Stiller's a short-arse!
This film also features Mike Tyson as himself who recommends that someone murder someone else, and attacks Robert Downey Jr for making a gay advance on him and tells Brokke Shields that he don't "fuck no white women", the mind boggles as to how Toback got Tyson to show himself in such a light, or perhaps it was all improvised or maybe filmed with hidden cameras! no raping or prison sex though so Stu probably hasn't seen this one. Here's the link, if you see it let me know what you think

"Saul of fuckin' Tarsus"

What movie was it that had Ben Stiller as the creator of Alf who also happened to be a heroin addict or something? Anybody know what I'm talking about?....I caught it on TV a few months and so some of it. Pretty weird...they didn't use the name "Alf" for copyright reasons I guess, but you can tell who that twisted fat-nosed puppet is supposed to be anyway.

Does anyone know what the movie's called?
