Well, friends and I continually quote The Simpsons and other shows, but I was curious how Frank Black fans would do in such a challenge. I actually won a Simpsons Trivia contest a few years back (I mention this only to upset Speedy M), so this could be interesting.
Just give a quote, nothing too vague (like "D'oh" or "Hello" where there are a million answers), and whoever gives the situation/context, speaker, etc. of the quote correctly gives the next quote.
Example:
"Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals... except the weasel."
Homer telling Marge that Bart needs to be able to learn how to weasel out of things after Bart joins the Junior Campers while on a Squishie bender.
We'll start with an easy one:
"Well... I'll be in the tub."

Hmm I consider myself a bit of a simpsons buff (I can recite entire scripts along with season numbers/codes/names) but without having seen that particular episode recently I can't think what it could be from such a little line. Probably why no one has replied so far methinks.
Now I could say:
"Heres your turtle alive and well"
to me thats so simple, probably should be to others as well but........... |

-I think that's from one of the Treehouse of Horror Halloween specials. Bart changes himself into a butterfly (can't remember how...was he hit by a ray of something?) so he can get away with mischief. He became a beautiful butterfly with a Bart Simpson head...or am I mixing that up with the Treehouse episode where he changes into a fly?
Next: "Oh my goodness, this is the most incredible day of my life! That guy looks just like........OOOOOOHHHHHH wait, that dog's got a puffy tail!"

"Bake him away toys!"
Excellent, I *LOVE* that one. I can do a pretty good Wiggum. This thread is my domain (just check my nickname!). That quote is from the Cape Fear spoof episode ("Cape Feare?"). Full quote is something like:
Bart: Take him away, boys! Wiggum: Hey, that's my job. Bake him away, toys. Lou: Say what chief? Wiggum: Eh, do what the kid said.
Here's an obscure one...
"Don't worry folks, we'll find him the help he needs."
(I'm not that great at exact quotes, but I'm excellent at ballpark..) |

Alright, you have to place a quote before you can do another one. Otherwise it's not much of a game.
"Oh my goodness, this is the most incredible day of my life! That guy looks just like........OOOOOOHHHHHH wait, that dog's got a puffy tail!"
I don't think the line's quite right, but close enough. Homer sees his exact double (Guy Incognito) ejected from Moe's when he's banned from there but is more interested in the puffy tailed dog. I think this is the "Fear of Flying" episode.
Also, I don't think the butterfly quote was placed right... it's from 'Round Springfield (where Bleeding Gums dies) and Lisa & Bart are talking about reincarnation or something, and Bart imagines coming back as a butterfly and setting fire to the school, but just to move forward...
"And thanks to your gloomy music, they've stopped dreaming of a future I can't possibly provide."

Oops, this was clearly written before El Barto's post and posted after.. |

Alright alright, "Help me Jebus!"
When Homer pledged 10K (I think) to PBS so that he could watch his show and not the telethon. Then Betty White came to collect and he ran to the church for sanctuary, where the reverend sent him on some mission god knows where. Then he corrupted the people with alcohol and gambling. |

OK, just so I can use my quote...
"Don't worry folks, we'll find him the help he needs." - From Trash of the Titans, Homer usurps the control room at a U2 concert to get votes for Trash Commissioner. He's taken away from the camera, Bono says the line above, and then you see security beating Homer up. Great little episode, by the way.
So now, here's mine, much less obscure:
"And thanks to your gloomy music, they've stopped dreaming of a future I can't possibly provide." |

"the goggles do nothing!"
*edit* ok I was answering the gloomy music one...dont you hate it when you answer one of these things the same time as someone else? oh well. use my quote. or not. whatever |

That was from "Two Bad Neighbors," when Homer and Bart were planning to play a prank on George Bush.

Hey, I've got it, Broken Face... I just happened to watch this episode last night.
"stupid neighbors singing again...i wish i was deaf"
It's the episode where Herb, Homer's brother comes in to town and is at the Flanders' house and they want to help him out and offer to annoit the sores on his feet and let him sleep there, and they start singing some churchy song and Homer hears them and says that. Whew.
"are you calling Homer Simpsons a liar?" "well, we have obtained this footage of him with his pants on fire"
I don't know this one... I don't even remember having heard it before. Anyone else?
"He called me 'Greenhorn', I called him 'Tony Randall' - it was a thing we had."
This is the one where Homer becomes a truck driver - he's in the diner eating a huge steak (which is so huge that no human can finish it except this truck driver), and the truck driver - who called Homer a greenhorn ("Who's a greenhorn? What's a greenhorn?") and Homer calls Tony Randall because Tony's picture is on the wall next to the truck driver's - dies. Homer takes over his last trip and ...
But, just to get this game going properly, we have to answer mdisanto's quote before we can pose more (otherwise it becomes a slough of unplaced quotes and not much of a game at all), so we need to figure this one out:
"are you calling Homer Simpsons a liar?" "well, we have obtained this footage of him with his pants on fire" |

heres another quote from the same episode to help you identify it.

"are you calling Homer Simpsons a liar?" "well, we have obtained this footage of him with his pants on fire"
That one is from "Hungry Hungry Homer," when Homer said that the Isotopes were moving to Albuquerque (which turned out to be true).
"could jesus microwave a burrito so hot that even he couldn't eat it" "well, i suppose he could, but then... well _______ as far as mellon scratchers go, thats a honey doodle!"
That was from "Weekend at Burnsie's" (not the same episode as that last quote). Homer was stoned, and talking to Ned Flanders.
Hmm, should I supply a quote? Here goes:
"No deal, McCutcheon! That moon money is mine!"
-Nathan And how does lemur's skin reflect the sea? |

"No deal, McCutcheon! That moon money is mine!"
Well, I was going to wait for someone else to get it, but it's been awhile, so...
That's from Twisted World of Marge Simpsons where Marge joins the pretzel-wagon franchise. They're at a franchise fair and somebody, well, I guess McCutcheon, is talking about franchises and how great they are, and says, "You'll be on a rocket ride to the moon! And while you're there, would you pick up some of the nice, green moon money for me?" To which Homer replies that he will keep the moon-money for himself. HI-larious.
Alright, my quote is:
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Can the courtesy - you're an American now." |

You gots it, El Barto. And though I can solve your quote right now without blinking an eye, I'll give my less fortunate brethren a chance at it. Interesting that you're quoting an episode from the season you referred to as a low point for the show. :) |

This is from the episode where Homer gets a job with Globex, under "Mr. Scorpion". The teacher says this to Bart after he says "but I'm supposed to be in the 4th grade". Mucho hilarious episode.
Here's my qoute:

Homer when he starts a children care center at home after breaking his leg or something. I think he's talking to flanders.
new one: "Let's just practise a bit, hmm? When I say, "Hello, Mr. Thompson," you'll say, "Hi." (I still find this whole scene hilarious) |

That's a pathetic challenge, lol. Cape Fear spoof episode (titled Cape Feare?). I know I quoted a Season 8, but it just happens to be one of my favorite quotes. Season 8 marked the beginning of the decline, so it wasn't necessarily *THAT* bad. There was a definitely obvious change in the writing and style, though. Too many Homer quotes, guys! Here's a tough one...I think...mostly because it's short:
"Yeah...*looks* like"
