holly crap, i can't figure out how to play the first few chords in O my golly, i think the first chord is Dm but then i can figure out the next few, i know the chorus but thats it, does anyone know how to play this one, i would really appreciate it, cause this is getting way to frustrating!....o yeah and velouria's intro if anyone is interested is not whole chords, but simply the first two strings

yeah velouria is something like

then is goes up to Bb i think and does something similar.
I don't know Oh My golly, I actually don't have Come on Pilgrim. But I have heard it. Hopefully someone else can assist you with this one

And I'm an idiot because you tabbed Velouria right there. I didn't even look at it and I assumed it was what you knew of Oh My golly. Oh well.
So you say you think it tunes UP a half step?

| heh, yea its tuned up half a step, cause i have a few video's of the pixies (brixton acadamy, vancouver commador ballroom 92) so i watched them over and over again...still i dont think im playing velouria completely right. |

| that way u can play first position minors, Em, Am, since it is tuned up half a step and the little riff right at the begining, the part that goes over top of "hold my head..." which is in the Am formation i think...but not sure. |

Doh! Oh My Golly is from Surfer Rosa. And Come On Pilgrim contains some of Charles' best work, in my opinion (a whole song about masturbation? come on!). Certainly, this isn't to say that his work has consistently declined since (BLD and SSMVGD are my two favorite FB releases). Just that it represents something great and different from him. Pick yourself up a copy and bask in its power.

The way that I play Oh My Golly is not with a Dm in the beginning, but a D octave, and bend the G string only. Then it goes: D A A# G D G D 3 times, and then C A A# G D G D
Hope this helped a little. I thought there were tabs for this anyways?

he probably means:
e--x--
b--x--
g--7--
d--x--
a--5--
e--x--
that is a D octave. Both notes are D, but an octave apart.
