This was at the catalyst in SC. Pre-blastoff magiscience show by David Lovering. They totally nailed the songs, played for 2 hours with only a single 3 minute break and made it look easy. A one-of-a-kind, not-to-be-repeated-anywhere experience it was everything I hoped for ( this was the first time I'd seen FB, I never saw the Pixies but this was how I imaginged a Pixies show going. ) That new guitarist seemed to have shaved his eyebrows off like Frank, and he played that old pink telecaster like a badly trained wolverine. The bass player was really really good in a super understated way, including a studied slovenly appearance so that he wouldn't take away from the rest of the band.
by "badly trained wolverine" I meant really aggressive and wild. I forgot to say also: surgical, quantized, every solo about 5% new notes which I prefer, massive attack, never broke a string in the whole two hours.

Overall a great show. They really rocked. They'll have a hard time beating this tonight in SF.
