was that with twisted sister opening? that was my first concert. it was fuckin awesome. i was 12 at the time. it was loud! d snider would say fuck every second word. it was hilarious. i was so impressed with eddie. i still listen to maiden. classic metal band.
the day of the concert my brother, 16, just got his license and drove us to the show. he was sitting with his buddy and i was with my friend who had other seats. the plan was to meet by the car at the end of the show. when the show ended my parents were by the car. they said my bro had a "migrain headache" and he called for them to pick him up. it turns out that he and his buddy got fuckin hammered at the show, he stumbled down the stairs, and then the cops picked him up and called my parents. too funny. (no charges though- nice winnipeg cops) |

Hey Fumanbru! That was the concert alright! I went with a friend who had a substantial afro,we were able to bring in party favors 'embedded in his fro! Amazing to think how much a persons musical tastes can change over time. I still will pull out my metal music once in while and damage my hearing even more. I geuss I realised that it doesn't matter what anybody else thinks I will listen too what ever I want! |

New kid here, but old fart in general, and to prove it, my first conccert was The Rolling Stones at Soldier Field in Chicago, '77, with Journey, Peter Tosh, and the Flying Karamazov Brothers Supporting. "Some Girls" tour; tix were $12 plus Ticketron Service Charge, ditched school in the morning tickets went on sale to wait outside by Sears, the only ticketron outlet in the south chicago 'burbs...got away with it by telling the teachers I was in the school musical (true) and my scenes were being dress rehearsed (false). |

My first concert was "Weird Al" during the Running With Scissors tour. I got to meet in person for the first time Bermuda Schwartz, Al's drummer. He's a really nice guy. |

First Show I remember was Eddie Money with the folks... also plenty of Loverboy shows at the CNE... Born in the USA tour as well... think all these were between 1981-1984.

My friend's mother took me and him to see The Osmond Brothers at the Baltimore Civic Center circa 1973. I was only 7. First concert on my own was Public Image at the Olympic Auditorium May 4, 1980. |
