I'd like to inform you all of this wonderful group, Piņataland. They just released their first album "Songs for the Forgotten Future Vol 1" which you can hear samples of at www.pinataland.com/forgottenfuture.html .. and "1939" and "Ota Benga's Name" from the album @ http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/62/piataland.html (note: Ota Benga's Name is not the wax cylinder version on the album)

I definitely recommend them to any Frank fan.. not because they sound like him though.. closest comparison is TMBG (James K. Polk specifically) but even that doesn't give them enough credit. I say listen for yourself and decide. If you like history and rock chances are you can get into this band.

Wow. I'm really impressed with these guys. They remind me of a bit of TMBG, and a little bit more of Camper Van Beethoven, minus the psychedelic grooves ("Everyone Says That I Love You" reminds me of CVB's "Tania"). Really enjoyed this stuff; I'll probably pick up the album.
