                      | Alright, so now that I'm fresh with the buzz of two FB shows (bringing the total count to 5), I need some way to deal with the cravings. So I figured, we'd see what some of my esteemed forum colleagues thought about which songs were the best album version and which were the best live versions (inspired mostly by how much more Jane rocks live than can be imagined). This could get messy, though, so here are the ground rules:
 RULES
 1) Album: Fave Album song / Fave live song
 2) You must have heard the song live to list it as fav. live.
 2) No Pixies albums
 3) Can't list the same song as both - just to make things interesting.
 4) I suppose it'd be interesting to also have a list of what song you've not heard live that you'd like to. This can't be the fav. live song (obviously) but can be the fav. live.

                      | Alright, so here's my list:
ALBUM / FAVE ALBUM / FAVE LIVE / WANT TO HEAR

FB: Los Angeles / Parry the Wind / Two Spaces
TOTY: Speedy Marie / Freedom Rock / Ole Mullholland
FB&C: Man Who Was Too Loud / Dog Gone / Steak 'n' Sabre
CULT: Cult of Ray / Men in Black / Jesus Was Right
PIST: So. Bay / I Want Rock & Roll / So. Bay
DITS: St. Francis Dam Disaster / Robert Onion / St. Francis Dam Disaster
BLD: End of Miles / Jane the Queen of Love / End of Miles
DW: His Kingly Cave / Whiskey in Your Shoes / His Kingly Cave

Crap, that was hard. I've gotta' say that LA rocks live, as do many songs that didn't make the cut.

                      | That's no fair: you picked the same song for fav. album/live. It's much harder when you have to choose between the two, but I can't say I blame you... I'm all about the Robert Onion. |

                      | Yeah, well, we could axe that rule, I suppose. I'd have to change a few answers, I think... incidentally, I didn't realize this at the time, but this should probably have been put in the games section to begin with. |

                      | Heh... Western Star, Western Star, Western Star. :) Who can blame you? Me. I'll let the blasphemy of no cult selections pass for now, but I assure you that I'm shaking my head.
Yeah, James, you've gots 'ta hear I Want Rock & Roll live. Travel, go without food or sleep, do what you've gotta' do, but it is very worth it. :)

.. I should mention that I think Nadine is probably the most awesome live one (that I've heard) from the new album.
