I know a few people on here like their stuff..does anyone have their new album, and how does the song 'Danger, High Voltage' compare to the rest of it?
I absolutely love that tune, but i don't wanna invest if the rest of the album is substandard...

| Their new track Gay Bar will be doing the rounds soon, I liked Danger at first but it got played to death. The single had one decent song and a rubbish one. Album will be out soonish. |

Dunno about the rest of the albumn, but I've heard from two wholly different people that their live show is awesome and having heard the new record I am very inclined to recommend it to all!

I'm going to see them next month so hopefully i'll know a bit more then, Danger, High Voltage was cool, Gay Bar is pretty good too from what i remember but i've only heard it a couple of times, we'll see i guess.

| Since this topic is up again, in that Spin interview, Jack White denies singing on that song, but he says "I wish it were me." I don't believe him, though, because the guy sounds wayyyyyyyy too fucking much like him to be a coincedence. |

I'm 99% sure it's him. E6 says it was some contest winner from Cleveland..haha
Jack White mailed me an advance copy of the album, it kicks ass..i quite like most of it.
Oddly, i'd say they're kind of filling that gap that The Cult used to fill for me...not really the same music, but a similar energy for me.. A few lemons, but most of the songs are pretty good.
If you like Gay Bar, you should like most of the rest of the album. |

Electric six, yes, interesting stuff. A lot of rock, a little disco, a lot of Roxy, a little bloodhound gang. The video, however, is a crowning achievement. See it if you haven't. The woman who lips-synchs the "Jack White" part is my new goddess.
