Ever been in a really bad car wreck????

Well, tonight I was in a horrible accident. I was riding shotgun and my best friend was in the back seat, and this drunk bastard was driving the car, 1979 jeep cherokee... we were flying down some country road at 2am trying to evade some cop or something and he hit the bank on my side and flipped. It was so surreal. I don't know how I got out of the car. My best friend now has a broken vertabrate and possbibly a crushed spleen or something... i fled the scene of the accident for some ungodly reason... i saw my life flash before my eyes... I am very shaken up emotionally and physically...
anyone ever been through this???

Thomas, please don't report me...

I've been in two car accidents, i was a passenger. It was freaky. Fortunately no one got hurt.

i still have a law suit actually Thomas. Since then, I contacted a lawyer and called the investigators and told them I was at the scene and a witness. This is to protect me from being implicated, which really isn't a problem, because we are all freinds and not about to stab each other in the back... and so I can establish a personal injury claim...

I'm going to talk to the lawyer more tomorrow.

but what kind of law suit are you thinking about? Personal injury claim?

I feel like I went 3 rounds with Mike Tyson.

My best friend has 2 crushed vertebrate, 2 partially collaped lungs, and couple broken ribs, but he is supposedly going to be alright. I went and saw him at UVA tonight. But he won't be able to skate again for probably 2 years.

Anyway, don't drink and drive, nor ride with someone who has been drinking. Think about it before you do it and remember this. I am lucky to be alive.

Anyway. Please respond Thomas to my questions...

little black (aka Big black),
sorry to hear about that man.. that's always a pretty scary thing.
mine doesn't compare, but when i was about 9 my older cousin rear ended someone and my head actually smashed through the windshield.
which explains a lot actually..
he made me tell my aunt that my arm broke the windshield.. because she would have freaked..
but yeah, it took me a few YEARS to get over it.. every time someone would pull up behind someone, in a normal pulling up behind someone at a stop light scenario, i would freak out and think we were going to smash into them..
ah, childhood trauma.. the memories.

glad you're alright, and that you can still skate :)

thanks Floop

and Derek, and Thomas,

I dunno...

I'm kicking myself... 2 days before the accident, I insisted to Amar (my best friend in the hospital) we make a skate video so I can have his moves on tape in case he were to die the next day)

"sweet irony"

He actually won a contest 2 weeks ago... best non-pro am skater in the 4 surrounding counties... excellent technical skater...

we never recorded the video...

But he'll be back in 2 years and ripping it up...

Meanwhile maybe I can learn how to ollie and sess slide...

Trying to learn how to skate in your 20's sucks major bizzalls...

I like you Floop, and BigG, and Thomas, and Derek, and Jrolk.. if it wasn't for FB, we'd not occupy this wierd, small, yet intricate place in each other's subconscious. ???

8 Coors and a doober snack later, I spit out these "message in a bottle" words; this diatribe...

big black,
same to you brother..
if you're ever in the LA area we'll have to go skateboarding :)
i uesd to skate ALL THE TIME growing up.. all through elementary and junior high.. but then it dropped off in High School. and didn't really skate at all in college blah blah..
anyway, even though i'm almost an old fart now, i got this uncontrollable urge to skate about a year ago, so i bought a new board..
i can't do much of the stuff i used to (i actually got to the point where i could olly and railslide handrails), and i feel silly skating with a bunch of 15 year olds, but it's fun.
now i just like to skate really fast and scare people.
anyway, there are some cool spots around here.. so if you're ever in the hood, lemme know and we'll go terrorize the town :)
