Wow, the Breeders too!
Hedwig is one of my favorite all-time movies. =)
I absolutely hate musicials, but this one really got me. |

Ahahaha! Frank doing "Sugar Daddy!" It's perfect. Every single song is going to be done by the exact perfect person. I could almost weep happy tears thinking of Fred Schneider and Sleater-Kinney doing "Angry Inch."
God, I love that movie. It's the reason I bought a DVD player. Thanks, Jason! |

F-U-C-K God, I LOVE that movie too! (except all the USELESS religious references) Frank Black on "Sugar Daddy", not very surprising! Punk legend Bob Mould, who made the guitar parts on the original soundtrack, will take my fave song "Nailed", which sounds so much like a Sugar song. Can't wait to hear the other artists as well, especially Sleater Kinney. Punk rock women rule! Babes In Toyland, Le Tigre, L7, Tairrie B...

Just read the lyrics and count the references to God, Jesus Christ, etc. Boring as a church. When America will become ATHEIST?!? |

Oh yeah, the whole Tommy Gnosis/religion thing! Okay. (Sorry, I've been on allergy medicine all week and it's melting my brain.) I thought you were talking about the Plato/mythology/Origin of Love thing, which I think is very cool. |

Oh, yes. I wasn't actually agreeing with sonic3tooth, but merely acknowledging that I had managed to forget that whole aspect of it (prolly cause tiny-minded religious oppression is such an integral part of the movie and small town America in general). I don't think it could possibly be the same movie without the whole Tommy Gnosis plot (he was originally the protagonist before JCM invented Hedwig.)
T: Hedwig, have you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal lord and savior? H: No, but I love his work.
Hilarious!
