I am so excited about going to see my first Frank Black and the Catholics show on Thursday (Louisville, KY). Can someone tell me, does Frank Black ever talk to the fans after the show or sign autographs?
Thanks,, hope to see some of you there! |

Whenever I see Frank he usually rushes backstage after the show. I always wanted to stick around to see if I could meet him when he loads up his gear, but I'm usually have to hurry home before I pass out.
I think it would be wierd. To be a famous musician and have all of these fans literally freaking out when they saw you. Are there any popular musicans in the forum that could describe how they feel in such situations? Frank? Harris?
How about some Ether? |

i saw the ft. lauderdale show (also my first of his) and he went straight to the tour bus after the show, where some freak girl (who also winked at my boyfriend and grabbed me by the waist during the concert) was banging on the bus. we left for a while to go to the car and then came back and she was gone and frank black came out. we got two pictures with him and a few people got an autograph (i think) and a few also got photos. he was nice, but you could tell he just wanted to go back inside the bus. i'm sure he's met his share of freaks in his day, so i can fully understand. i hope you have fun!
My fortune cookie would say "It is now your time to ROCK." What would yours say? |

I'm not sure how accessible he is now that he has the bus. Usually you could catch a few words with him after he got done loading equipment into the van, but again, I don't know how the bus figures into it. Generally speaking, if you just give him some space and avoid approaching him when he's obviously busy/clearly in a foul mood, he can be quite pleasant and polite. Good luck to you, and report back! |
