I was able to see Frank's show in San Antonio. This was my fifth time seeing him and it was by far the best setlist and performance yet. Rich Gilbert and Dave Phillips were both fantastic and a particular highlight of the show was the dual pedal steel guitars version of Monkey Gone to Heaven. The show started with "BUllet" Holiday Song And headache . The first set ended with hermaphoditos and cactus. The encore was farewell bend, where is my mind and black rider. Overall a fantastic show. Afterwards Frank was in a great mood signing autographs, talking with the crowd, and posing for pictures for almost thirty minutes. He also took time to talk to a local female punk rock group called "Girl in a Coma" and was very nice to them, sort of like a guru.
Wow, that sounds like a great show. I hope someday I get to see him play Cactus, all of a sudden that's become one of my favorite songs by him, I've been playing it every day.
