I noticed that yesterday when I was writing the date down on a piece of paper..... I'm sure some religious fanatics were prepared for the end of the world or something to that effect.

i played great this morning if that counts for anything. My songs sounded their best today, as new, yet distinguished. A beer and a xan in the morn, up all night, felt like a rock prophet.
I know you have felt the same, on one level or another.
I don't understand why lately I've unintentionally reminded myself of the vocals in some old school Metallica... not my thing I thought..
Prolly because I was kicked out of my band by 3 of my best freinds because I wasn't "Metal" enough I guess. They told me I was a better solo artist which I completely disagree with, however I am not about to argue with these dudes. I want to bitch about it though. I am not a better solo artist, I am sufficient as a solo singer songwriter, but I desperately need 2 or 3 mates to buy into my style and help me to make it work. Tough chemistry. They're all into Clutch and Kiuas (sp?) and I am all into Frank, I thought it was cool, I thought I was helping them develop, I miss the bandhood, however I am glad I don't sustain the ear damage with undertalented musicians, esp. bad-(extremely-fucking)loud-drummer (in tiny ass room)
All the drummers I've played with lately are way too fucking loud and have no clue when to bust a fill, so they bust them from begining to end almost, constantly trying to outdo the last fill, constantly trying to prove their drumming skills, what for? or right before you are ready to sing and they have been playing a basic steady beat, they throw in a fill just as you are busting the first line of the song. I need a good drummer. A humble, talented drummer.

haha i know what you mean LBF, with the always trying to outdo, and especially filling right as youre about to sing hah. Most cool songs have like the most standard beat or like a beat made of a fill for example, wave of mutilation. i found if you keep nagging enough to the drummer they start to get the idea, i mean theres nothing wrong with trying to do the best you can, but its a matter of when to do it.

speaking of mysterious number combinations.. i'm wondering where you guys weigh in on 11:11 ? if you have any opinions.
i used to be really superstitious about it and thought it was sort of evil. but now i'm thinking that maybe it's not that bad. and possibly good.
or it could just be an artibrary set of numbers that don't mean anything too..
but we know it must mean something..
