Okay, in the rare event that a band member or somebody who can do something about it reads this. The last Shank Hall show sounded like total shit. Please, please, please, do the me a favor and double check the sound in here. I've seen Frank there once before and the sound was great, but the more recent show was like fucking "Metal Machine Music" on eight-track. If I'm going to put up being surrounded by cheeseheads, I'd appreciate good sound. Thank you all.

i'll be at this show. i hope it sounds good. the only other time i saw frank was at the metro in chicago and it sounded amazing. i'm passing up the double door shows for this one because i think my ID that isn't mine will work better at shank, if you know what i mean.

I was also at that show, just remember this was shortly after their gear was stolen and they were playing with lots of angry energy. Maybe I must have been in a sonically 'better' place in the room, but I thought they sounded and played great. try to get up front where you hear their amps and not the PA so much....Stay Tuned

Umm...I guess I respectfully have to disagree with you on this one. It was like um....I dunno last year, I think. Eric Drew Feldman was playing with them. Oh yeah, House of Large Sizes opened.

I was with two of my friends, and we all agreed the sound was abyssmal to say the least, and we have all seen Frank multiple times. Believe me, I like loud music, hell, I saw Emperor at the Milwaukee Metalfest. This however was not "intensity", but just crap sound work (the playing might have been top-notch, but all I heard was a high-pitched din). I don't mean to give you a hard time, but anybody who knows anything about acoustics knows that you shouldn't be in the front row. Besides I moved around the whole time hoping for a miracle, but no such luck. Thanks for the input though

I suppose we just look for different things out of a live show. The reason I mentioned being up close to hear the stage mix is so you are not subjected to some hack's work at the soundboard. It's as close to just having them set up in your living room as you'll get. I do agree it was rather harsh that night, but it worked for me. I'll have to add that EDF was not there, Dave Phillips was the 5th. musician that evening....Don't let 1 lesser quality show keep you away now, just don't show up wearing any Bears gear...lol See ya

I plan to be at the show, also. I'll be the 30-ish thin guy with the dyed orange hair and goatee. Heh.

Saw him there in 2001 and sounded fine to me! Loved all the new songs! It was the 3rd show of the tourW! I know because I saw the two previous!
