I used to have three of these, two brilliant ones sillhoutte and keeping in time and another that ws ok, draw attention. Ahh my computer crashed and i only managed to find Draw attention. Does anybody have keeping in time and sillhotte?do you know of any others?
If you dont know what im talking about the demos "appear" to be pre pixies. Pretty bad quality four track recordings of Black, most of the time on his own but in sillhoutte he has some girl with him (Kim Deal?) he talks to her a bit (you cant really hear what it is though)then she provides some wierd, screamy, backing vocals, its a short song but very good.
I miss my stove :( |

| They are pre-Pixies. He recorded them in his college dorm room at UMass on a boombox, most likely when he was rooming with Joey. |

Ha! Calling Silhouette a "brilliant song"... You have to be a real huge Frank fan...
By the way, there were 4 songs, Draw Attention, Silhouette, Keeping In Time and Fight With Honour.

Just want to point out that the 3rd song (by far the best of the four) is known by two names: Gemini and Fight with Honour. Fight with Honour seems a lame title. Maybe Gemini is the real name.

| l got silhouetta and another he obviously recorded the same sitting which l wouldn't have a clue what it's called. l also got a great demo of the band probably 4 weeks old. Don't know what the song is called but lyrics go "boom chicka rocka chick ,rocka chicka boom" |

Boom Chicka Boom, circa 1986 or 87. There are two known recordings of the song, both from radio shows. Fan-fucking-tastic song.

I don't think so. I remember a story from years ago that someone gave FB a copy of the college demos and he was very surprised, wondering how they got em, and said something like he hadn't heard them in years. Go ahead and put em up. Where's jo when we need her? Can she shine some light on this?
