Ok, I know, I know, I havent posted anything in months. Sorry, I got distracted with school and at one point I couldnt remember my password. But I am curious if any of you know when Frank will be playing in LA again,....or California for that matter??!! In other news, I had the best steak at this restaraunt called the Pacific Dining Car, thats in downtown,... I highly recommend it. Oh yeah, and some great italian food at La Bella Cucina also in downtown, across from the Staples Center, excellent food, moderate prices. The food recommendations go to Floop since he lives in LA.

mike man,
thanks for thinking of me.. i'm ALWAYS wanting a good restaurant recommendation. i'll have to check those out..
i had the best steak i've had in LA last week too, at Houston's in Santa Monica.. it's kind of pricey, but if you feel like treating yourself, you will not be disappointed. (i was there taking my girlfriend to dinner for her b-day)..
speaking of meat, i went to this amazing Korean BBQ place a few weeks ago on Western (near Santa Monica i think).. that i can't remember the name of.. but i will. all you can eat. and cook it yourself etc.. i was amazed at how quality the meat was, for all you can eat.. anyway, i'll get the name of it if you're interested.

Floop

i occasionally eat chateaubriand.

Pere Ubu, Rocket From The Tombs (sort of) - UCLA - 3 days I think - should be fun but 30 bucks a pop. Is Frank going artsy fartsy?

Pacific DIning Car is quite pricey too. You are gonna pay about $34-$42 an entree, definately worth it though. The food is superp and the service is impeccable! So anyone know when Frank is playing Los Angeles? Also, I jumped on the Blips bandwagon(j malta's band), very good band. Floop, you live in LA, if you like Frank/Pixies/ or just good ol' college radio alt. rock you will love the Blips. Other than that, I went to see Firetheft(sunnyday real estate) last week at the Troub, they rocked!!!!!

Negative on that. I dont think the Pacific Dining Car is open 24/7. At least the on in downtown is not. I believe there is also one in Santa Monica, so maybe that one has the 24/7. Harris, I take it you have been to the PDC?quote]Originally posted by harris

yeah, apparantly there's one in Santa Monica too (PDC that is).. i'll have to check it out..

i was surprised to discover yesterday that Houston's is an chain (on the east coast).. normally i wouldn't recommend a chain, but i gotta say, excellent steak.

so Harris, you guys playin' McCabes any time soon?

i occasionally eat chateaubriand.

Yes, you are right. I went back last night, mmmm, but I noticed their hours were 24! The best! This time I had the peppercorn steak filet mignon/med. rare! I cant be spending money like that!

Speaking of Catholics. I saw Dave Philips at Silverlake Guitarshop yesterday as well. So Harris, do you go to PCD often?
