Ha so it does. I'll inform my ill informed brother!

Love the Teenage Fanclub / FB session, the Jacques Tati is wonderful. Grand Prix / Bandwagonesque are amazing albums. Wish they did more together

The internet says they opened with Into The White, then Levitate me and then Debaser? I suppose if I was to pick three must see live Pixies 1.0 songs then one of them would be Debaser, no questions.

To be honest, not really. This was at a time when the only Pixies album I'd heard in full was Bossanova. All I remember is jumping up and down in the middle of a crowd near the front and FBF screaming. It was a good set, if a bit on the short side.

SECC? My brother was there...from what he recalls they opened with Rock Music.

Man, miss John Peel! Remember buying Pistolero the day it came out and those first few drum thuds on Bad Harmony...awesome memories. Rich Gilbert is on fire for this album.

Thanks for sharing these

Wow that's just fantastic! The Catholics session is from the time of Pistolero but sounds so much better than the album (not my favourite one).

The songs on Catholics session are
1. Living on soul (sounds MEGA)
2. Billy Radcliffe
3. Valley of our hope
4. Changing of the Guard

Sister Isabelle is in there too, between Billy Radcliffe and Valley Of Our Hope

Ah yes of course it is, I missed to add that!

Haha I didn't want to say it...But I was thinking a similar thing. Like Living On Soul is just a pretty basic rock song, right, but WHY IS IT SO GOOD? I can't figure it out.

Nice find. No idea he did a sesh with Teenage Fanclub. Had to stand through their set and two other mediocre Glasgow indie bands from that era in 1991 - for a three song Pixies set!

Funny I can remember exactly what I did on the 14th May 1994 - it was my birthday and me and my girlfriend at the time and two mates took a drive up to Loch Lomond for the day - there was a group of German tourists there in swimming naked, which we found highly amusing. Then we went home and had chicken pizza.

While I think Pistolero is a masterpiece, this is also awesome. I had never heard either session before. I didn't even know there were any other versions of Valley of Our Hope out there.
