Good spot, I defo got an Interpol vibe the first time I watched the Withing Hour.

Painter Man is such a good song. Wish it was on a Pixies album instead of being a BF feature.

that's what I initially thought too, especially knowing BF's taste for namedropping France locations (Massif Central, Languedoc on Um Chagga Lagga, Narbonne on Ft Wayne...)

Maybe they've been reading the survivor thread?

And not to be a downer, but still very little exposure for IC. Only one song (Snakes) played over the last two concerts.
Bedbug Posted - 03/11/2019 : 09:03:30
Looking at this setlist with the three new songs and the heavy representation of Bossa / Trompe I would guess this was one of the best Pixies shows to be at in some time.

Death Horizon is mellower and more of a mid tempo song than the other two new songs. Nice melody and Paz does some great harmonies and backing vocals in it. Nice lyrics too, about death approaching, but with a somewhat uplifing vibe. They went into All The Saints right after this, and it flowed almost perfectly right into that song. So that should give you an idea of it's tone/vibe.

Yes know what you mean. I've listened to both Witching Hour and San Nazare 3 times each. Going to try to stay away now.

This is a lovely surprise I love the rockabilly, Cramps like riff on "San Nazare" and the exposed bass line on the "Witching Hour" is a nice throwback too.

Edit: Just heard "Death Horizon". Sounds pretty but "San Nazare" is still my favourite.

It's a great day for Frank Black Francis fans... these new songs have an edge to them that I haven't heard in his songs in a long time.

Well, everything I've heard so far that's new sounds pretty damn good. I think Weezer needs to step aside, they have become pathetic. Black Francis is a songwriting machine... period.

I keep watching for it to show up, but nothing yet. The guy who's been uploading the other videos has put almost the entire show up by now, but Death Horizon is still missing...

And this seems to be "Witching Hour" or as originally posted but then deleted, "Graveyard Hill"

And as a side note, 36 songs, opening with Ana, and good representation for Bossa/Trompe, sweet setlist indeed.
