It was another excellent show in Jo'burg last night. Perfect sound considering it was an open air festival.
The band played very well together. Paz's bass playing is very, very good.
They closed with a stunning Into the White last night. Oh god it sounded terrific!

Frank was on top form with shouts and screams. Rock Music! They played Rock Music and it was brutal. Tame and Caribou also roared. I was hoping for River Euphrates but no luck.
I see there is a month break in touring now, that may be why Frank let rip with the shouts last night.

It was good to hear Winterlong live for the first time. The moon was rising to the side of the stage on a perfect
late summer night. Perfect moment for some Neil Young.

Vamos was fun, Joey, Dave, drumsticks....... I liked the Cape Town version a bit better with the guitar trickery
a little shorter and more staccato. Dave wasn't being let of the hook during La La Love you. He had to keep going and going.
His drumming has been great both shows.

I envy the fans getting to see them in smaller venues in North America in the coming months. The band is in top form, those shows could be great.

We're grateful for the band coming out to play South Africa. Must have been a hellish trek to get here from New Zealand where they played last.
I hope they had a good time out here.

Had a terrific time at the show last night. That setlist not quite correct, they did not play Winterlong and Blown Away.
Havalina was also a bit earlier in the set I think (they seemed to slow things down with a few "quiet" Bossanova tracks when some in the crowd got a little too rowdy)
Vamos, Hey and Cactus were highlights.

I bumped into Joey in town the afternoon before the show. I was pretty surprised and I am not a very eloquent person but managed a "Thank you"

Johannesburg tomorrow night

Thank you Offerw.

If you can get us correct setlists that would be much appreciated.

Enjoy the show!

Anyone has the influence to get the man do an extra night of solo and Catholics stuff?
We'll be a crowd of ten.

That would be great! Maybe have Dave along on drums, just a small kit or another musician friend of his.

If you go the show hope it's a good one for ya.

cheers

Cape Town sold out in an hour.
Joburg probably won't due to size of venue.
