This is my first tab EVAR, give me a break :P

I found this track on blackfrancis.net.... Deleted bluefinger track? Anyways I liked it. Here's what I have so far:

Deadens all strings for one measure

Repeats chorus a couple times, then messes around with the tremolo bar on his guitar for about 20 seconds

(The C shuffle is weird... I THINK that's how he does it, sounds like he's just alternating the bass on it. But I CANNOT get the timing down for the life of me!)

Tell me what ya'll think... The track is pretty confusing to get to on his site, but keep fooling around with EVERYTHING on the page and eventually you'll see a polaroid photo behind some cars. Track's on that.

fB throws in a barre F with open chords in a few songs so the F/A could be as simple as F major. i never really paid this song too much attention until i saw this thread, now i love it.

ed: The F chord during the "she's afraid" chorus could be xx3201

F/A sounds perfect there. It's dumb of me that i didn't see it sooner, as I often use F/A as a quick replacement for F when I'm too lazy to barre....

Yeah the chorus is great, it's really what keeps me coming back to this song over and over.

I also think you're right about th Em in there, seems it would go right over the words "soooo" and "down" in the chorus.

What bugs me the most is the D5 chord. It doesn't sound right to me. Sometimes I think it's a Dm chord, maybe something compltely different, hard to tell as my musical ear is still in it's early stages of development.

The day before you put this up there I was singing it all day long. To the point where I thought to myself "I'm going to try to figure that one out and put the chords up on the board."

You beat me to it - and nice job.

This one is really catchy isn't it? and it sort of sneaks up on you. After the first few listens you're like "oh that's nice - sounds like an unfinished idea - nice b-side" After a few more listens that chorus really gets stuck in your head!! The way he strums those chords in the chorus and the way the changes complement the melody - it's just textbook Frank.

You have on there to do the C strum all the way through the first verse. I think at the very end of the verse just before the chorus there's another Em in there.
