Great minds alike, remig. I agree 100% with all this.

That makes:
BIRD DREAM OF THE OLYMPUS MONS
THE BALLAD OF JOHNNY HORTON
SAN ANTONIO TX
FIELDS OF MARIGOLD
FAAAAAAAAAAAAAZER EYES
DEAD MAN'S CURVE
+
THE REAL EL REY
OLE MULHOLLAND
ELIJAH
SNAKE OIL
THE SNAKE
BABY THAT'S ART

In fact I'd love to hear some songs from Fastman/Raiderman. Most of them have never been played live, and I feel they'd sound awesome with a great, kickass, rocking band (that means EDF on bass + Rich Gilbert on guitar)

It would amaze and please me greatly to hear either of these live. Both great songs in a live setting:

The Swimmer
Western Star

Please.

If I were going to see one of these European shows,
I'd request PAN AMERICAN HIGHWAY and SHE'S MY WAY.

I'm stuck in Tennessee so I can't go.

Hang On To Your Ego / Kicked In The Taco / The Adventure and the Resolution / Letter To Memphis...

how about you, bureaucrat?
Ziggy Posted - 11/05/2007 : 08:48:50
Assuming it's a solitary guitar, the set gets a little more limited, I think.

Living on Soul would probably still sound cool.
thebureaucrat Posted - 11/05/2007 : 08:32:45
Hmmm. So we've heard tunes by Joy Division and none other than the Beatles... How about BlackFrancis/FrankBlack/Pixies tunes? WHAT IF you could here the man himself play ANY of his songs. Any rarities that make your mouth water? Tell US 'bout it.

Although not exactly in the new Black Francis mould, I would really love to hear San Antonio TX live. Also, I really don't know why, but I have always figured that a Frank Black/Black Francis cover of Joy Division would really work (Ice Age would prob be the best).

Ooooh and to be extra greedy, In My Time of My Ruin is really a wonderful song, makes me all goosebumpy :)

The trip to London this summer cost me about 1400 Euro in total. Canīt pay that amount again...have an old Pontiac to take care of.

Wow, pretty exciting stuff. Who is this mysterious backdoor. Sounds like FB to me. He/She has some golden inside info, and was first to hear about the german and french summer shows.

Most interesting of all was from one of his/hers archived posts clearing up the lyric

"i had heard no birdie singin, and i had heard no rock and roll"

Great to think we will see Frank in Dublin come Spring. Thanks backdoor, whoever you are

Mwah ha ha aha
