Yeah, she is. I really like all their dj's. I love Mark Wheat a lot, too.

lets hope so, I really can't justify £60 on a CD.

I am guessing that they will probably release it later this year or next just as itself.

Will this cd be sold seperately--not as part of the public radio pledge drive? I live in Seattle and pledge here for our radio station. Just want the Frank!

well, the price is really free, but you have to give a $10/a month donation to the Current to get it. I just signed up for a $10/a month deal in the spring, so it's a little pricy to do it again now. That's not to say I am not totally temped.

They've been announcing the tracks one at a time for the most part. Today they announced 3 at once. I am guessing tomorrow they will be done.

Here's the scoop and track listing thus far:

Live Current Vol. 3: Thursday Edition
Posted at 12:59 PM on October 11, 2007 by Steve Seel (0 Comments)
Another day, another three tunes to roll-out from our brand new CD, Live Current Vol. 3, as we're doing all this week during "My 3 Songs." Today's three:

1) Brother Ali, "Pedigree"
2) Snowden, "Anti Anti"
3) Emily Haines, "Expecting To Fly"

That's one local force-of-nature, serving up an awesome version of one of his coolest tunes; one of our absolutely favorite indie rock bands from the past two years around here doing one of their signature songs; and finally, a lovely, intimate Neil Young cover done just for us by one of the most talented (and, I might add, gracious) performers around today. This CD is shaping up quite nicely.

The list so far:

Frank Black - That Burnt Out Rock and Roll
The Young Knives - Here Comes The Rumour Mill
Ben Lee - Ripe
Cloud Cult - Pretty Voice
Peter Bjorn and John - Young Folks
Michael Franti - One Step Closer To You
Storyhill - Ballad Of Joe Snowboard
Albert Hammond Jr. - In Transit
Robbers On High Street - Crown Victoria
Astrid Swan - When You Were Young
Brother Ali - Pedigree
Snowden - Anti-Anti
Emily Haines - Expecting To Fly

Tomorrow, the final four songs. Today we've added even more video from some of the sessions above to continue to work you up into a complete lather about this disc, and again, if you're ready to "pre-order" with a membership gift without wating another minute, step right this way.

Thanks for making stuff like this possible, folks. CDs like the Live Current series are the culmination, the end result, of your support.
