Hi, everyone. Just a quick update to say that I have really enjoyed helping to bring the authentic Bluefinger experience to the fans. Its been indescribably fun to be on stage with my sweetie and recreate Bluefinger live with the actual Bluefinger band.

But when we came home Friday night after our WOW Hall show and crawled into bed at around 2am, it felt really good to my pregnant body to sleep in my own bed. The babies were elated to be home (they didn't know it was only for 12 hours). It became clear by morning that there was a choice to make.

Charles was beginning to feel concerned about making his pregnant wife stay up until 2am every night. I was getting so worn out after only five shows. So he sort of made an executive decision to play the rest of the shows on his own and have me hang back with the little ones in their comfort zone.

It was probably the wise choice, but I feel bummed that the remaining audiences won't get to hear the angel choir at the end of Angels, and stuff like that. I was just beginning to master my magic pedal that lets me layer my voice into a big stack as I sing.

In the end, Charles is more than capable of delivering the goods, chick or no chick. Just know I'm thinking about you guys and I'll see you at a Grand Duchy show in the not-too-distant future.

Pouting too but then we'll always have Youtube. Keep on doing what you're doing. We're loving it.

What a lovely and extremely considerate message! You deserve all the time off you need! You're pregnant! If it weren’t for courageous childbearing women like yourself, our civilization would cease to exist. God bless you!

And I absolutely love your vocals on Bluefinger and Fort Wayne! WOW!! Really looking forward to the Grand Dutchy project.

Love the family business that’s going on! I'm sure you're a huge part of it! The music, tours, the new black francis.net website, the artwork, youtube vids, polaroid pics, forum comments.....As fans, we are so lucky!

All the best!

Fu

I didn't get to be at any of the shows but did watch some of the cips on youtube and I have to say - magic pedal or no magic pedal, those vocals sounded great. Really looking forward to Grand duchy.

Twins? Wow. Add another congrats to the one I posted in some other thread a couple months ago.

Hmm...do you really think she meant twins? That's what it sounds like but when I read this yesterday I thought she meant their two youngest children.

Maybe she'll clarify this for us.

You have no idea how much some of us look forward to that. And let me be the first to predict that "Fort Wayne" is going to make you famous.

Thanks for stopping by. You and your husband are a class act.

Please pardon me, for these my wrongs.
kathryn Posted - 10/08/2007 : 17:24:49
Can't say I'm not disappointed, was so looking forward to seeing you. But I haven't forgotten what it's like to be pregnant.

Thanks for the note. Classy of you to write it.

Be well.

I can't imagine anyone would disagree with your concerned and loving hubby (and our musical hero!) on this important health issue, Miss Violet!

Hey Violet,

the grainy youtube vids of the shows are delightful. Family should always come first tho, I'm sure all of us understand that.

rest up violet. glad i got to see you up there in portland. i can see why you want to stay off the stage...once you get up there, you're in the zone, jumping around and being a rockstar. that's got to take a toll!

You are a good source of inspiration for our own Black source of inspiration. Thanks and take care of your kids and those to come.
With Love.

Are you niknamed after that song by Adam Ant?

I've been rocking the recordings from second night in Portland and watching the Youtube videos and was really picking up what you were putting down Miss Thing. You're going to be missed!!

Congratulations on the latest - it must be hard to remember the last time you didn't have one on you and one in you!
Czar Posted - 10/08/2007 : 05:26:10
Wise decision! But then again, I'm biased, I did see you on stage. You're one hell of a muse.

Merci!!!

Saw you rubbing your back at the WOW- yeah, I think you made the right decision. I'll trade you an excused absence for a note on your sweety's guitar, pedal, amp setup. His tone was/is marvelous. The show was well worth the drive over the mountains. Sleep well.

But San Francisco is so close!

I understand perfectly, but I'm still sticking my lip out and pouting :(

Take care of yourself.

Stay in comfort zone, so that you can come back sooner or later with twice the strength and angelesque qualities.

Hi Violet! I saw you perform on Monday and Friday, and you really did add a lot to the shows! It's great to hear that you're going to be taking care of yourself though.

And Grand Duchy?!?! Yes! I Can't wait to hear Fort Wayne live!!! :D
