Posted - 08/29/2005 : 17:09:54 This was on Sunday night, hosted by Bill Oddie. It was an enjoyable show, that tested some theories about whether or not T-Rex's actually did battle with Tricerotops (like in the old Harryhausen films), etc. The second part next Sunday is about Veloceraptors. I have to say, though, what is it with the BBC's CGI? I know that as a TV organisation, they have a limited budget, but 12 years after Jurrasic Park, is this the best they can do?! Also, the only bit of the new Doctor Who I saw when I was switching around recently featured a very dodgy computerised flying monster trying to break into a church. Sort out your Computer Graphics Imaging, Beeb!
Oh yeah, here's their dino section!

Posted - 08/29/2005 : 17:20:42 The JP raptors are creppy little fuckers, that sneak up on you. It seems like the BBC ones are out more into a straight fight! BTW, the T-Rex in Jurassic Park could'nt see living things if they remained perfectly still, at least in poor light. Anyone know anything else about this? Because one of the things contested in the programme was the Dinosaurs' eyesight. |

If I were a millionaire I'd buy every carthorse in Ireland and wait. The day is coming when a carthorse will be worth more than a Porsche. |

Posted - 08/29/2005 : 17:14:01 I saw it too. So the triceratops ruled the night with a stab to the chest. And did you see the raptors? not like what Mr Spielberg portrayed. I don't know which is the meanest? His, or the BBC's.
HA! doctor who. makes me laugh for all the wrong reasons they seem right. |

Posted - 08/29/2005 : 17:11:48 someone once described doctor who CGI as decent enough looking, but pre-programmed to look outdated in just a few years time.
