This morning i'm listening to "Teenager" and i got to wondering who Joe Harriman is. This is something i wonder about everytime i listen to Ole Mulholland. Can any of you guys help me out? Just who is Joe Harriman, and was he ever elected mayor of LA? I need one more bit of trivial information in my brain, so i can push out something useful like the rest of my times tables.

Yes. That needs to be said, an amazing song from an
incredible album.

Well, who knows how right I am.

Aaaaaactually, let's not ask that rhetorically. Frank
knows. Maybe he'll pop in here and 'splain
himself.

Kathryn, what a doll you are. It's amazing what one little letter will do. Here's a link to a Utopia Colony timeline that provides excellent info on Harriman and Llano del Rio.

I, too, need to push out old info to let in new and this got pushed out of my brain years ago...but to the best of my recollection, it's Job Harriman and he was a activist/lawyer who ran for VP on the socialist ticket at the turn of the century. In, I think, the 40s, he helped LA with one of its big fights over water (water being a big issue in LA to this day).

And from Teenager, we go to Dog.

Llano del Rio is not just an FB+TheCs song, it's also a colony he oversaw.

Maybe Frank can educate us further?
