So what are the best complete Pixies live gigs available for our viewing pleasure (on youtube of course)? Restricting this to Pixies v1.0. Not interested in anything after that.
Imo, these are the best complete (or atleast pretty close) examples available. Not from a list I've been keeping, but from a quick 5 mins of searching.....

rather disappointed that this complete gig isn't available as a single set on youtube, and the sound quality isn't as good as the others either, which is sad considering the quality of the dvd release of this gig.
I had been going in chronological order, but this one wasn't worthy of #1.....

Can't get enough of those maniacal screams. You can tell how this guy destroyed his voice by singing like that. How can you do that every day on a tour. No vocal coaches back then.

That 91 Brixton gig, words don't do it justice. Watched it many, many, MANY times. But yes the Town and Country gig is pretty damn amazing. |
