Just a reminder for all you crazy hep cats and hipsters!
Tomorrow night is going to be the cats meow... we're having a record release party at Village Pub South in Amityville, NY for our compilation record TRANSISTOR.
Rheingold Beer is co-sponsoring so you can expect drink specials and free giveaways. We have 6 bands performing and the party is going to go all night long.

cheers! we've actually finished that song, it's a proper 4 minute effort now, which i'm in the process of uploading since reading your message, i've probably killed it in the process of making it into a longer song though!

Hey bumblebeeboy2, I checked out your band Monkey Helper. "I Know" is very cool (as much as I wanted to hate it because your slamming me here) I must admit I dug it. Good luck with the rest of your recording.

i run a small label too - have i ever posted here to advertise my site? have i ever said "check out this artist, he digs Dog in the Sand?" no, its just polite to not burden the board you post on with your own attempts to make money. sorry, no sympathy here

when it's blatent advertising from a member who posts nothing else and by all accounts doesn't even visit the forum when not publicising his label... i really don't mind his posts too much (although i prefered his original reply!), if he's going to post stuff like that then he's going to get some stick, such is the nature of the net/forum...
my dad has a small music promotions company, is it okay if he advertises here too?

give the guy a break. He's trying to run a small company with presumingly a small buget. Let the man advertise. He may just have mouths to feed.

You're right... I should make more posts in the regular section but honestly I have little time.
I post these in the appropriate section so really why do you care? If it doesn't interest you simple move on to a thread that does. If you feel it's necessary to ban me than there's nothing I can do about it.
Many of our bands have been influenced by Frank Black and The Pixies including The Bennies so I feel you guys may like the music and support the bands. It's that simple.
