Posted - 09/16/2004 : 09:04:56 And they finished their set of with a great rendition of Gouge Away. It was an EDF-inspired version of the great song with sythesizer’s and the lot. It was a fantastic end to a fantastic set. They’re a fantastic New Zealand band called Goodshirt who were in London playing some shows. They remind me of the Talking Heads with great synths and not taking themselves too seriously. I know they’re all huge fans of the pixies, but had never heard them play any covers in the several other times I’ve seen ‘em.
But anyways. Was the best cover I’d heard of the pixies by a band – apart from doog’s cover band, but that doesn’t count.
