Just got The Real Ramona,my 4th Throwing Muses album and counting and I'm loving it immensely.Seriously if I played it any more I'd have it permanently imprinted in my eardrums. So,is there any of Kristin's work that anyone doesn't particularly find fantastic?

indeed.
Kristin is definitely my fav female artist.
absolutely love ALL her work full stop.

can't wait to see 50 foot wave next week.
already seen her solo and it was mindblowing, so in the band should be earsplitting.

but yeah, come meet up with McCheese, mel and myself...and mrs benji will also be in attendance

Ohhhhh yeaaaaaahhhhhhh......

I'm a longtime Muses obsessive and love pretty much everything Kristin's done. Live she's got this really otherworldly thing going on that's just mesmerising to watch and the 50 Foot Wave stuff sounds like it's made to be played live and ear splittingly loud - I'm REALLY looking forward to that Garage gig....

I've never gotten into most of the Throwing Muses I've heard. I like the first album and CHAINS CHANGED (all the stuff on IN A DOGHOUSE, basically), cuz they're wired and have that cool mid-80s sound and I like LIMBO because it's catchy. Most of the rest I ended up selling (THE REAL RAMONA, HOUSE TORNADO, HUNKPAPA -- didn't hear the others).

But Kristin Hersh's solo work is great. She seems to go for prettier, more melodic songs on those records. And that I can dig. STRANGE ANGELS is one of the most hypnotizing albums I own. It's bee-yoo-tiful.

If at all possible, go see 50'~

You'll be so glad you did.

Kristin, I believe she is my favourite female performer
I didn't like 50ft Wave at first, but they are superb to me know.
There are so many Kristin related records and all of them are great, some are a bit better than the others, some are a bit weaker.....
but no the woman can't do wrong

Just had a quick look around: wayahead.com, gigsandtours.com and meanfiddler.com have some left by the look if it. Stargreen is sold out though, so they might go quickly.

I dunno... its a possibility. I've got a couple of other friends say they may come as well, so I'll look into it.

I could probably make it, it's just I don't know what I'll be doing on the Thursday as I start uni on the Monday (after a lazy gap year). I'm only in Kingston, London, though, so it's a rather convenient location if I do decide to go. Do you think tickets will sell out?

Nope, the woman can, in fact, do no wrong. I think it's been scientifically confirmed by a panel of impartial experts. Even Exene Cervenka says that Kristen Hersh is a hero to her.

Kristin is amazing.....I just picked up the Strange Angels album its beautiful, then chuck 50 foot Wave on and it rocks like well....Queens of the Stone Age! The only Throwing Muses album that aint all that is "Throwing Muses" 2003, its for me far to heavy for Throwing Muses, It does take a good few listens to get the feel of it, but there are a good few still!!
I will definatly be at the Garage.......then off to the Paris gig! yippee
