I'm not surprised to hear the ratings were low. Two women in the final, whose names the average American couldn't pronounce, and you can expect low ratings. As for the men, Federer still isn't a household name yet(or Hewitt for that matter.) but in time, he will be. It doesn't mean it isn't worth watching. Sadly, it seems like there are only good ratings in America when Americans are playing. |

it was a good time Ebb, you missed some great Tennis.
Agassi vs Federer was great, but the rain fucked it up, it went 5.
The finals of both the women and men were one sided.
But we saw some great tennis, those of us smart enough to watch, yeah.

He is amazing, but he has a way to go yet to be ranked alongside Sampras, let alone above. More titles needed. And I am sure he will get them.

Federer was amazing. I used to think he and Roddick could have a good rivalry, but now I'd have to say that Roger is just too good. The only questions left are can he win the French open?(On the slow clay.) He's such a complete player, I would have to say yes. Will he be the best ever? Maybe. (It's still too early to say. Although right now, I'd bet on it.)
Women's tennis may be more interesting right now. Look at the parity. All those Russians, the Williams, Davenport, Capriati, Henin-Hardenne, Clijsters, etc... every Grand Slam is up for grabs. |

I watched the two ladies' semis last night. Sadly both Davenport and Capriati lost, they've both been favorites of mine for years. Davenport was injured which made her struggle all the way. The third set between Capriati and Dementieva was brilliant. Capriati had quite a lot of opportunities to finish Dementieva off but the Russian girl played some brilliant shots to get back in the game every time. Capriati lost to a brilliant player.
I hope Federer or Johanson wins the mens final. Henman and Hewitt are good players, I just don't like them.

I'm quite pleased to see Nestor and Knowles won in doubles, and I've got my fingers tightly crossed for Johansson.
Right now, however, I've got to go get ready to watch some hockey.

Wow! I just saw that Lindsey lost. I really thought she was going to win this. Geez, the Russian women are really coming on. This might be 3 grand slams in a row for them. |

Henman is not a pussy.
Federer is off the hook.
Davenport is in the 3rd with Kuznetsova, fuck, Russian women are so good looking.
I like Johannsan, he has a small chance, but Roger is so fucking amazing to watch, what an artisit.
Go Capriati, we grew up together, not literally. But she used to be a junkie like me, I respect that fact.

This tournament is all about Davenport. She will win and take over the #1 ranking at age 104, in tennis years. I hope so anyway, she is my favorite player. Capriti should make the final vs.Davenport, but don't think she will win it all. Now she knows she can beat Serena which should help her out at the year ends. Hewitt has a great shot at getting back to the finals of a grand slam and may even push Federer to a 5th set, but don't think he will win it.

The problem with Henman is that he never reaches a final of a grand slam, probably not a kiler nenough, too much English gentleman. It is a little the same with the Dutch player Schalken, he often reaches quite far, I believe he is quite high on the world ranking, often reaches half final/quarter final, but he is not enough a killer and he serves like a girl. I donot think he will ever win a grand slam. |
