Woman's basketball player Ivana Mandic. Now that she's mastered the English language and realized the import of her name, she goes by Ivy.

Real women's pro basketball player has a unique name.

My brother told me some bizarre Afrikaans ones the other day, but I can't remember most of them.
The best one was a rugby player whose first name was Vleis (sp?), which translates as Meat.

This thread is great!
I've heard a few howlers over the years, some i think must be folklore! But here goes...

I once dated a girl called "Jen Margarita Blower". Miss Blower was very attractive! Unfortunately I didn't have the chance to hang around to see if the rumours were true! ;) Eh Eh!!

In school there was a girl in my History class called "Kerry Hooker". Yeah, after the initial laugh no big deal to any mature person. However I remember one day in history the teacher talking about the Whore-Laval pact, saying what a truly terrible, low, disgusting name "Whore" was, that no self respecting name a human would have! I recall a few smirks and looks of embarrassment in class that day!

My brother once dated a girl called "Rosie Slack". After his laughter he got the sack!

There was a guy in my school called "Billy Mycoch". This I know for sure, however, there were always rumours in school that his mother was called Patricia...so there was the possibility she's called "Pat Mycoch". Hmmmmmmm.

My favourite (well potential favourite) was the possible but improbable marriage of my sister to a man called "Mr Quay" (I dunno if everyone does, but he pronounced it "Key"). My sister is called Dawn...

At college there was a guy called Gary Needle and a girl called Liz Cotton. Obviously they HAD to start dating. Unbelievable. I think they may still be together actually.

No, the mannequin does not have a black eye. She is wearing a green one piece bathing suit and is missing seven or eight fingures. She lives in the attic so she is very dusty.

We have a manoquin (sp) at work that I have named Zelda Ramitharde. She is French. And tennis player Karoline Sprem, that is pretty unfortunate.
