Posted - 08/28/2004 : 19:13:43 I think the first half is brilliant, and the second half is growing on me. Sleep Over Jack, Window of My World, Gonna Never Have To Die and Raincloud are some of my favourite new songs. That man can write a melody that will get in your head for DAYS. Don't even get me started on Window of My World again. That took at least 72hrs to wash away...

Posted - 08/26/2004 : 10:11:18 I've heard Earthquake Glue a few times and it sounded alright. In fact, my former roommate burned it for me and will be getting that to me soon. I haven't heard too much of Guided By Voices beyond 1996 or so. The only album that I've ever really gotten into was Bee Thousand, though I have all that early stuff like Same Place the Fly Got Smashed, Devil something, King Shit, I can't remember all the titles. It was a boxed set. I burned it.
Edit - I'm aware Earthquake Glue isn't the newest GBV, but it's still damn new.

Posted - 08/26/2004 : 09:15:34 I heard parts of it... there was one song that was incredible on the first (and only) listen, the rest seemed sort of boring. But, having only listened to bits and pieces once, am not a judge. Just didn't want you to feel ignored.
