Does anyone know of any sites that offer free ringtones? I have a new phone and would like something a little more exciting than the crap it currently offers. A Pixies one would be great!

What kind of phone do you have? I have free polyphonic ringtones of the pixies that I know work on Sprint PCS but none of Frank Black and the Catholics. I have Gigantic, Where is my mind, Tame, Is she weird, and Mr. Grieves. Some of them sound really cheesy but it is still cool. I can't remember where I found them but when I did I downloaded them to my computer because I knew I probably couldn't find them again. If you would like I can try to e-mail them to you. The one that I think sounds the best is Tame. That is the ringer I use.

Cardboardfish.com has millions of free(ish) ringtones. They have winterlong by the pixies. Otherwise if you are willing to pay a few pennys the rest are easy to get.

It wasn´t for free! It cost me 2 euros...but I´m allways glad to hear my phone ringing, I always wait a while before I answer!

www.free-ringtones-free-logos.com has a pretty good selection of free tones, which surprisingly includes a pretty cool rendition of Winterlong which it lists as a pixies tone.

I have ringtones of WHERE IS MY MIND (which really sounds like the song) and HERE COMES YOUR MAN (which does not really sound like the song). I got them from MTV.com but they weren't free - they were $2 each.

heh, kinda, mine is an old style ring tone, I do have the doom music on my phone somewhere but I get kind of embarrased when that goes off, especially in HMV when the head of every super-nerd turns to see who has the doom ringtone

I don't know where to get it but I have a great sounding "here comes your man". so many of them are offered but they sound like crap when you get them on your phone. my other ring is a pretty good (loud) "just can't get enough".

There was a thing in the paper today where you could get Gimme Danger by the Stooges, but I can't remember where. I think it was some sort of promotion related to Driver 3.
