homestar runner: anybody can doodle in flash and do a retard voice and/or silly accents. i prefer clever/intelligent humour mixed with silliness. or at least silly in a creative way.

pryor was a god, but otoh, he had some really good writers. i think pretty much everyone i mentioned comes up with their own material. |

What about Homestar Runner or Seanbaby? My personal favorite is the Scotsman. Good list of actual stand up comics there though Ebb, although while all of them are great to decent at stand up not a single one of them will ever be nearly as great as Pryor was at stand up.

i'll agree SA isn't that funny anymore, but my point was maddox isn't #1.
i don't know what that link is supposed to prove, that he's an even bigger narcissist than i thought? that looks like the biggest stupid vanity project i've ever seen.
edit: if i had to guess i'd say the onion is probably the biggest comedy site on the net. |

To be honest mr ebb, I think its less that he thought one day "today Im going to become a web comedian". He just had a online journal type thingy were he types shit, he doesn't promo or anythin he makes no money from it. Gradually through a crazy amount of word of mouth he became the first 'big' internet comedian.

in a way you're right malax, but my point was that "web comedians" suck. it's someone who doesn't have good enough material or the nerve to stand in front of a crowd and perform. the best he can manage is to type some words onto a web page anonymously. additionally, web comedy has much lower standards.
i agree that karate kid needs to be on dvd; preferrably all 3 films. (you heard me.) |

I enjoy maddoxs articles. I don't consider him the top comedian in the world but his articles and artwork are often very funny and it passes 5 minutes. But you know if those guys aren't web comedians then they have to be better right?
