Posted - 07/19/2004 : 19:39:50 I finally got to listen to my copy of this album. I think it's somewhat of a return to the band's old style, in that it's made up primarily of short and really catchy songs. "Museum Of Idiots," "Stalk Of Wheat," "Damn Good Times," and "It's Kickin' In" are all favorites of mine, although that last one might be a little TOO short.
Has anyone else heard the album? What do you think?
I know there was some talk about the album in the "TMBG video" thread, but this really doesn't have anything to do with videos, so I think it merits another thread.

I wish they'd let you download individual songs.

Posted - 08/04/2004 : 10:13:43 I ordered the physical EP from the Online store and it showed up as a cdr burn with a clear printed stomp on it. No cover art. I did however come with a note that said the art was held up at the printer and they will be shipping the art in a few weeks to make up for the inconvenience if you would like.
But the Spine, it's an awesome album. Check out the live shows that you can purchase from them as well.

Posted - 07/23/2004 : 17:21:53 I think you're confusing two different things. If you download the album from theymightbegiants.com, you get the EP tracks for free. You don't get any physical CDs that way, though. You can also order the physical EP either separately ($10) or with the album ($3 in addition to the price of the album) from tmbg.com.

Posted - 07/23/2004 : 11:42:08 I was looking at the site and wasn't quite sure of the concept. Do they give you the downloads and then mail you the liner notes and jewel case and stuff, or do they send you an actual CD and you have the d/l's for the meantime?

Posted - 07/23/2004 : 00:12:55 It's possible. The copy of the EP I got had a handmade cover, but they said they'd send the real cover once it was ready. I don't know if that means it's going to be in stores then, or just that they'll have a nicer cover for the online orders.

Posted - 07/22/2004 : 23:46:06 I don't think it'll be in stores. Wasn't the idea of doing it to promote online sales for the band? I might be wrong, but I thought it was supposed to be a web-exclusive offer.
