He is not evil, he is misunderstood really. He just sees a lot wrong with the world and it pisses him off. He has a short fuse. Or a short stalk.

I always thought strawberry were inanimate and therefore devoid of emotion, but if you want a strawberry to be angry...

and thanks for the welcome. :)

you guys should share something about yourselves! i'm have a people fascination.

In the past, when I was a regular on here, I semi-attempted to put together a database of member information. I think the reason I quit is because people didn't seem that interested in giving the info.

El Barto - is there a way that we can make a certain list of questions mandatory for all members to answer. Then we can have charts, etc., read from the database - some kind of filtering / standard deviation will have to be preformed due to silly answers.

starlet thing is interesting.. I was having a discussion the other day about media portrayal of the underage stars, the sun incites everyone to go peadophile bashing then carries on about hot young stars like natalie portman who everyone fancied in leon even though she wasn't actually legal.. what a complex web

But.. on the defence of the age gap, I'm 23 and donald sutherland... i still would

Actually it made me see a post I had missed before. Sorry, kathryn. I don't get Esquire; care to give a brief synopsis?

A recent article in Esquire made that point very eloquently, Fudd.

It does matter with other forms of entertainment. It sucks when you can't lust after movie starlets without feeling guilty.
kathryn Posted - 06/28/2004 : 09:22:35
It did freak me for a minute or two when I discovered that Charles is a bit younger than me. For a long time I mistakenly thought that he was a few months older. But, no, you're right, it doesn't matter.

wasn't suggesting that you were saying there was something wrong with it just find it strange that you think in those terms, it's something i've never thought about

fudd Posted - 06/27/2004 : 16:20:27
Get used to it.
VoVat Posted - 06/27/2004 : 15:47:38
Well, yes. I'm a big proponent of separating the artist from the art. I'm just saying it's kind of weird when the musician is younger than you, not that there's anything WRONG with it.

n/a Posted - 06/27/2004 : 15:27:21
surely it's all about the music and not the age of the musician?

I think it's kind of weird to be a fan of musicians who are younger than I am. But maybe you don't feel the same way.

I don't know about skill. Love them and pay all the attention to them you can. And play great music all the time.

That's awesome, Fudd. Great parenting skills on your behalf, I am sure. Not to bore the many non-parents on the forum, but my biggest parenting challenge these days is that my 2-and-a-half year-old refuses to call "Big Red" by its proper name and insists on calling it "Here I am in My Bucket Today," despite my many instructions and scoldings.

Well, I'm more of a Pixies fan, but here is one of the coolest things in my life, a dream come true really. My kids' favorite band is the same as mine. They also like Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Devo, etc., and the better of the newer stuff, like Weezer, BRMC, Muse, Franz Ferdinand, etc., and not the crap on TV. When they were about 7 (I am not making this up) one of them saw a picture of John Lennon in a record store and asked "Which one of the Beatles is that?" The guy behind me in line was very impressed and said "You are raising your kids well!"

Lysithea, welcome, from me, too, though I am a total newbie myself. It's a nice forum, I think, and people here have *the best taste in music*!

I'm not very good at English-isms, you should probably ask Adnan Le Terrible, or Monsieur, I believe they keep a record of English witticisms to apply at the appropriate juncture.
Smashing idea.

i actually did know it was whilst. i might be drunk. ummm that was pretty nice though. smashing indeed.
