Columbus isn't too bad. It's about the size of Seattle or Baltimore. There's a lot of local places to see bands and plenty of shopping and moderately priced homes (compared to the East or West coasts).
Athens is a small town about 1 1/2 hrs SE of Columbus. It is set in the "hilly" part of the state. No mountains, but rolling hills, lots of curvy roads that are fun to drive especially in the fall when the leaves change colors. The school is very small and people I know who went there said they knew everyone on campus. It has a good reputation for journalism and English lit. I guess it depends on what you're planning to study. The town is old, historic, charming.

You can see Ohio from the Sears tower though, can't you?
Er, wait, that's Indiana.

Chicago is in Illinois.

I am not in Ohio, and I have not been there. (Chicago isn't in Ohio, is it? I was there once.) But I am really surprised SpudBoy didn't mention a particular band that is (quite) arguably Ohio's most important product. Or was that post a cryptic reference?

I am living in Ohio. But I am not an Ohioan.

I called Veterans Memorial last week. The lady that answered the phone seemed pretty well-versed in her response to my query: <monotone voice> NO <damnit>, we have not confirmed the <fucking> Pixies show yet <fuck off>.

I am in Ohio at the moment. It feels nothing like Iowa, but yet is relatively innocuous like a potato. As a spud is to a Spudboy. ĄDebe bailar!

If Ohio hasn't repaved route 11 (in the northeast corner of the state) since 1999, tell them to do it. Fucking horrible road.

They each have 4 letters and 3 vowels and are incredibly boring to drive through.

Have you ever noticed people get Ohio and Iowa mixed up? I mean, I'm not from there and I don't get them mixed up.

I'm from Ohio. Tickets haven't gone on sale anywhere yet. It's not even a confirmed date. It sucks. If you can get to Chicago or Detroit go for it incase they bail one us. (Even though they shouldn't..Kim's from here!)
