On Solace's recommendation, I checked out Sea Ray with Mike on Saturday. I had also downloaded a few tracks and then found the CD used and bought it for $10 CDN.

We then, as I said, saw them live. Tickets were $5. On a #$^@%$^ing Saturday night! $5. That's not even fair, it's so cheap. All the moreso, because they were FANTASTIC. One of the best live shows I've been to in some time. I had fairly reasonable expectations going in from the CD, but those were blown out of the water.

As Mike put it, if they'd only played the first two songs in their set, it was already worth the $5.

I just wanted to let you all know that if Sea Ray comes to your town (they're touring Canada en route back to Brooklyn) you should definitely check them out. And I want to thank Solace for the head's up on it, too. Love 'ya, man!
