Four White shark sightings this week in my favorite surf spots. There was a woman attacked and killed here last year. I hope they mind there business.

I hope they're not foolish enough to try and attack me.
I'll punch them in the face! Yeah that's what I'll do!
Right in their ugly ass shark face.

That reminds me of that "Fishing with John" episode, when John Lurie gets Tom Waits (or was it Jim Jarmusch?) to hand-feed that shark from the boat.

Man, that show was brilliant.

No no. Sharks are our friends! You must gently rub their tummies and feed them peanut butter sammiches until you make them smile at you. Good shark. Nice shark. Nice, purty toofies...

''You are a rubbish skier!!!"

So true. I could never afford the equipment. I went skiing once when I was young (and broke). I thought it would be a good idea if I wore some of those plastic yellow rain pants over my regular pants to keep from getting wet.
As sooin as I satrt down the mountqain I wipe out and thanks to my rain pants go flying out of control most of the way down the mountain. Eventually there was a turn. Unfortunately I was unable to turn my rain pants and continued straightf off a small cliff at thirty miles an hour. Luckily I was able to grab hold of branch. after a small rest and prayer session I managed to climb my way back up. My friends watched this whole episode from further down the mountain laughing their asses off.

Lets just say I wasn't surrounded by any ski bunnies that day.
That was the last time I went skiing.

I have many ski stories like that.

Fascinating creatures but also the scariest. They frighten the life out of me. I can't believe I used to surf when I lived in Australia for a year.

My photo's got shut down. I thought they would. I need to get them posted on a web site. What's that site where you can post your pics again floop?

That first photo is San Onofre (trestles). I believe that's a real photo. The surfers where so used to seeing them down there that they weren't all that worried about them. here's the link http://www.surfrider.org/sanclemente/sanosharks.htm They think they were showing up there with so much frequency because they had buried a beached whale there a year or so earlier. The sharks were smelling it.

Yeah, I've been surfing for five years now. Moved out here from New England, to do it with more frequency. I'm not great but I hold my own. I'm surfing a 6'8" Merrick right now. That's a small board for me, I'm 6'2" and 215lb's. I'm not too hip on the sharks though. In New Hamphire (in the middle of winter) we barely even saw other surfers.
Joking actually. There were plenty of hardcore people in New England.
My brother was out here last year and i was trying to get him to surf but he's afraid of sharks. I spent the entire ten days trying to comnvince him not to worry about it. i told him there are surfer's out here that have never even seen a shark. Half way throught the trip he watched me get chased twice by a giant and I mean HUGE(1000lbs maybe?) bull sea lion up in Big Sir. Then on the last day he went Kayaking with his son at Avila beach. When he met me at my train (getting off work) he commented on how many sea lions there were at the beach. he said they surrounded the kayak and it was kind of scary. I didn't think too much of it but the next morning that woman got attacked while swimming(surrounded by sea lions) in the same spot.
My buddy Paco made this sighting that made the news.
