Post all your thoughts on baseball here, we won't bite.

I want to catch an O's game this year hopefully. My dad was visiting my sister this weekend got to watch Clemons pitch. I forget whothey played. I asked my dad to get a hat for me and guess what happened (hint, he's Polish)(

He got me an awesome hat, but it's XS (extra small) like meant for a 10 year old.

Granted my matturity level isn't much more than a 10 year old, but my head is a lot bigger. My mom yelled at him and everything. I felt like shit.

hhahaa

sorry

I think I'm starting to loose it

Yeah, it only takes one stupid guy to ruin a whole season.

You mean no-good, left-handed, Red Sox-signing, gap-finding, Manny Ramirez-befriending jerk.

Yeah, that's what I meant. Thanks BLT.

2. You must be wearing Zubaz, 'cause you're daring to be different.
3. I am a man with 3 fingers...but that doesn't count my index finger nor my thumb.

He's leading the AL in doubles, which shows how many balls he hits into the gaps because he obviously isn't fast.

why does it even matter what a Texan does w/ his/her skills? ;)

Just don't like to miss an opportunity to take a dig at the northeast, especially those two cities, along with D.C. and Philly. Seems like a self-respecting Texan would know better. And, yes, I jest, in part.

i, also, was attempting a dig at Texans that may have been missed, so i will be blunt.

it does not matter what a Texan does w/ his/her skills, you should just dislike them for being from Texas. ;)

Yes, I missed it the first time. Turnabout is fair play, which I can respect.

Clemens didn't have much choice when he played with the Sox. But signing with the Yanks to get a championship made me lose all respect for him. Amazingly, though, I at least don't hate him anymore now that he's out of the Bronx.

I am an Oriole fan since I was 5. They may be behind the Devil Rays (actually they're tied in the loss column) but at least they don't play in an indoor stadium with fake grass. I'll always have 1983! And I think they are headed in the right direction now that they're going with younger players and a few decent free agents. It's not like the '90s when they were signing shitheads like Albert Belle and their farm system was crap.
darwin Posted - 06/17/2004 : 11:18:42
I don't blame Clemens for taking the money. It's his career. I do some have trouble with him saying he would never play for the Yankees and then doing it (I can understand though that he no longer felt any loyalty to the Sox). And, I don't like that he seemed to be lazy in his later years with the Sox and then got his act together (lost that fat) when went to the Jays. He also seems like a hummer-driving, bat throwing jerk.

Yes, Clemens is one of the greats, but I can't help disliking any Texan who would willingly use his skills to benefit the cities of Boston and New York. Then there's the little matter of his personality.

Go Cardinals! (Another reason to dislike Roger now that he's with Houston.)

i never blame a player for going somewhere that is willing to pay more for his/her services.
in that case, the Blue Jays contract offer was much larger than the joke of an offer that Dan Duquette(GM of the Sox then) offered Roger.
yes, it was tough to watch Roger win a WS w/ the Yankees.

Manny is the man and Ortiz is his deputy.

Pokey is fun to watch and sure is comforting when a groundball is headed his way.

i am a Red Sox season ticket holder and have mlb package on direct tv.
love the sport, i spend/waste much of my time on baseball.

love the Sox.
hate the Angels, tony phillips fault, i will never root for them. even if they were playing the dreaded Yankees.

Pedro is the man.
Roger is my favorite player of all time.

POKEY WOULD HAVE HAD IT

I went to two Twins games this year. They lost both. And they've lost 5 of the last 6 I've been to. It's a good thing I'm not a season ticket holder, or they wouldn't have made the playoffs the last couple of years.

My dream world series prediction: Twins vs. Cubs

My real prediction: Red Sox vs. Cubs

I just say O's becuase it's the closest team and it's only 5 hours from Camden Yards from here... just dependson who comes to town.... hopefully everypone from work will go andwe can all get drunk together, like my bosses and shit, that would be a trip, I could care less about a regular season game really... they all play 162??? games , a lot anyway, and only 4 teams make it from each division make it? Seems kinda harsh to me, thus is baseball I guess

The world series is only 4 months away!

Big baseball fan. Big Cardinal fan. I've only seen 'em once so far this year, but it was against the hated Cubbies and it was a blast. Lots of booing and (mostly) friendly ribbing back and forth between Cub and Card fans. Good time baby. First place this year and this after everyone picked them to finish third.
