Transitional pets:

We took too long to open our damn pool up this year, and tree frogs bred in the water above the pool cover. We have released hundreds of tadpoles into the swampy overflow of the Scioto River (possibly 90% risk of instant death, but the best we could do for them), and we still have about 150 more to release, and a few we have set up to watch in an aquarium, until they are froggies. If you want to raise one, let me know!

Someday soon we are going to try to catch (and have fixed) this terrifically feral (nutso) and prolific mama. She's had 3 or 4 litters since we moved here 2 years ago. Here's the latest batch, and we have no one that can take them in - anyone want to give a good home to one of these 5 kittens?

(hard to make out, but there are 2 black, 2 grey, and one extremely sweet grey and white)

Gekkos are cool.

In Boston's rougher neighborhoods there have been instances of people finding giant snakes, like boa constrictors. Apparently they are cool pets for drug dealers to have, and then they get too big and hard to manage and so people just release them into the population. It's very weird.

Jesus was right...

And yeah, I'm serious. I've always wanted to take care of something. Especially a chameleon. I get really lonely at home and I think they'd make great company/friends/whatever.

Oh, and yes, I meant to introduce other breeds to myself. I know they fight. I saw an entire show about them. They have the fastest movement of any animal. Ever. Their tongue..it's been clocked at like 30 G's. CRAZY!

Crouton, be sure to buy captive bred animals. Wild caught are only for breeders to add new blood to their breeding stalk. There are many breeders out there, fully aware that these animals are endangered. That is why they breed them. They realize that there is a demand in the pet trade and through captive breeding, they are able to meet the demand without straining wild populations

Ouch, they're all so expensive, though...I think I'm just going to start out with a shrouded chameleon (a lot cheaper) so I can get used to it, then introduce other breeds.

Crouton, I'm not sure if your serious about getting into chameleons but you can't put them together. They'll fight until death. Jackson's are cool but pretty mellow. If you want something hardy and spunky try the Veiled (shrouded). They are mostly called Veiled or Chameleo Calyptratus. You can find them cheap on the internet (25 - 75 for babies). Males are the the big colorful ones. They breed like rabbits all you have to do is put them together and they're at it. Email me if you need any info. There's a lot to them.

I really like the Deremensis, or the four horned mountain chameleon. This breeder has both. They used to be hard to obtain.

Pets I had before moving out to California.
These are not the actual pets though.
Although I still enjoy reptiles, I got turned off by the people in the industry. Many people seem to feel these are disposable animals. I also came to feel they are better left in the wild. I may get back into chameleons in the future though. I'm buying na house and the weather is good for certain breeds out here.

Frank is the big one on the left. Joey is the one at the back and the one on the right is Kim. She's expecting now. You wanna buy one of the pups?

Mostly they eat cow. Sometimes townies.

My snake, Frank.

He's so pretty and so timid that's a rabbit's way, a little pessimistic too, but that's OK.

Tucker is amazing. I love smart dogs.

Hey Gypsy, what breed of cat is Suki? Beautiful!

Please don't tell my cat I said that.
I apparently have to comment on all the animals. Glad I got in early.

Photos to be uploaded soon.

And this is my doggy Twiggy.

This was at the 'Pride dog show' and annual dog show to raise money for pride in brighton. some how twiggy won 'looks most like the judge' - the judge being the guy in the hat. Twiggy is the black and white dog centre picture, with rainbow collar on.

And no, none of those people are me.
