I picked up a used copy of The Wipers record "Youth of America" and from what I can tell, the songs are out of order on the CD. The last track is listed as "Youth of America," but it's mostly an instrumental that builds and builds and is six minutes long (awesome song), and I know that the song "Youth of America" is over 10 minutes long and contains the words Youth of America, so that must be the song that is listed as "Can This Be," track 2. What is wrong with the CD I purchased? It's all out of order.

Jason is right. The only thing wrong with that issue of YOA is the listing on the back of the case. It should be...
1. No Fair
2. Youth of America
3. Taking Too Long
4. Can This Be
5. Pushing the Extreme
6. When It's Over

Go here and buy the box set for $17:

You will be buying directly from Greg Sage himself.

After hearing how awesome Youth of America is, I need to get everything else the Wipers have done. D7 was one of my favorite Nirvana songs when I was 15, and that was a Wipers cover.

I also have that CD. I can't recall if the CD order is incorrect or just the cover. I never listen to that disk since the triple-CD collection came out. I probably won't have a chance to check it until tomorrow but I will let you know.

yeah, what jason said. I dont have that record (actually, i dont have any wiper cds i have various songs on ompilations and stuff on tapes)..but i would imagine that is down to what jason has highlighted here

I bet you never thought your movie would turn out this way
You crossed the other way, youd hope i wouldnt see you, you say youre doing fine, but thats not what it looks like, your undercovers on...

There's nothing wrong with the CD. The original artwork was likely done independent of or before the actual sequence. On an independent release of the era, there's lots of room for that to happen.

If you buy lots of 60s and 70s records you'll see this a lot and it won't seem so odd.

I'm a wiper fan. I prefer a middle-ground softness toilet paper...not too course and not too soft. That way, I feel I'm actually wiping something clear.

No Wipers fans here? It seems that plenty of Pixies fans would be into the Wipers.
