I'm a little more excited about the reunion now that they're actually playing near me. Not until December, though.

i'd go if they were playing in albany - or western mass, i guess. even nyc seems too much trouble. the only show i've ever seen in new york city was tom waits in september of '99 - from the fifth row! i'm guessing that a lot of folks on this board wouldn't have passed that one up, either.

official news: the big galoof is just fine.
i don't normally refer to myself in the third person, but i felt this was the time for it.
since all this pixies craziness broke, i've been laying low - scanning the board and reading the stuff that interests me most. i must admit that i'm less psyched about this reunion than i thought i'd be, and certainly not as excited as i tend to get when the catholics are on tour. i think that the propect of seeing the reunited pixies on stage with 5,000 screaming fans isn't as enticing as catching FB rolling a roadcase through the back door of my local night club. i like the intimacy of the latter event - the chance to really connect with another human being on a smaller scale.
i'm really, really honored to see my name in a post after months of hiding out - you guys really miss me! thanks.
just another pixies note: i d/l'd the first show of the reunion tour on 4/14 - the day after it was recorded - and i just burned it this past friday. still haven't listed to it, either. that's a pretty accurate measure of how excited i am... i know everyone will say, "you have to see the pixies - this might be your only chance!" but i'm just not that interested.
don't hate me because i'm apathetic.
when are the catholics going to make another record? i can't wait to see them ascend to the top of the 18" riser at valentine's in albany, ny, drinking draft beer out of plastic cups, needing a hand getting the pedal steel rig up the steep stairs in front, frank passing out scratch-off lottery tickets to the folks in front of the stage (me!)

I always wondered why the big galoof didn't post more hope he is ok. I used to be apart of the frank for president site and had the messages e-mailed to me and every day I got atleast one e-mail from him. Always thought he would be one of those losers at the top of the list.
