http://www.franzferdinand.org/gigs/

As it can be seen here, Franz Ferdinand will play in Sarajevo on June 28th.

This is very funny since it will be EXACTLY 90 years since the archduke Franz Ferdinand von Habsburg got killed in Sarajevo, which started the 1st World War. And I'm probably gonna see the show, as I will be spending a couple of days in the city where I was born (only my mother is French).

These guys are really funny, I must admit. I didn't like their first record that much - it seemed to obvious - but I'm beginning to like them as they really have a sense of humour.

PS : Boy I wish I had that kind of moustache!

I keep feeling like people are just looking at screens and web sites all the time, but do they ever do anything? Or go out and say anything to anyone? I'm not so sure anymore.

Maybe it was Ron Mael of Sparks.

this was beginning of april. SO dont think it was him

any way, i doubt very much that the lead singer from franz would be hitting on me. He did seem to have quite an entourage though. hm. But no, i dont seriously think it could have been him. no matter how alike he looked.

I bet you never thought your movie would turn out this way
You crossed the other way, youd hope i wouldnt see you, you say youre doing fine, but thats not what it looks like, your undercovers on...

"So sexy, I'm sexy!" That is my favorite line, it cracks me up! And he didn't sign it last night, which was sad.

some guy at all tomorrows parties tried to convince me he was from franz ferdinand. He actually looked INCREDIBLY like the lead singer.

However, he was irish...and as far as i know, franz are not..

I don't think their lyrics are stupid at all. I really like them (see my signature).

Anyway, saw them play last night and they were really amazing. So much energy and charisma. They played all the songs off DARTS OF PLEASURE, starting with CHEATING ON YOU and ending with THIS FIRE. They also played LOVE AND DESTROY and SHOPPING FOR BLOOD.

TAKE ME OUT was very fun. At one point, Alex (lead singer) said "Aw, Boston, you're charming us!" which was very cute.

Love them now!

Their lyrics are pretty stupid, I must admit. Like that song about holidays...

But I still like them - though they're not very original or anything.

I like the album from start to finish. As has been said, it's nothing groundbreaking, but damn it if it's not fun and catchy. If disco had been like this from the beginning, it might not have the laughable reputation it does now.

I don't understand why Shopping for Blood wasn't put on the album though, such a great song! <starts singing>I am the new Scottish gentry... <trails off>

I love the first lines of that song: "I'm just a crosshair, I'm just a shot away from you". It may become my new signature soon.

I really really like the album. It's good stuff. "Take Me Out" is great...I love when the song breaks down and starts to rock out...I love how the drums come in, fuckin rock on. The lead guitar riff is great.

We wont get mclusky Im afraid. They are currently in America and will be there for the next 2 weeks. Sucks. Atleast they are confirmed for the carling weekend.

FF doesn't do it for me. maybe they're really good live or something.. but the cd lost it's appeal after about 4 hours. not horrible, but highly overrated in my opinion.

In prep for the upcoming show of theirs I am going to, I have been listening to DARTS OF PLEASURE a lot and I really like it. TAKE ME OUT is a fabulous song and I love THIS FIRE and TELL HER TONIGHT a lot too. Anyone else heard it? Like it? Hate it? It's very derivative, but what isn't these days...

Um...at the Avalon in Boston, I think. Either there or the Paradise. I can't remember right now.

Starring in, more like.
Ash, Franz Ferdinand and Mogwai? That is a good line up. I'll be well gutted unless the rumours bear out and we get Mclusky in London. Otherwise... Angry Cheesey.

Yep, Pixies+Ash+Franz Ferdinand=great show. Ash and Mogwai are supporting the Pixies here in Paris, which is a nice line-up as well!
