I know there were at least a few of you that like Evergreen (old Louisville band, only put out one eponymous LP, Britt Walford on drums), from the responses to the music ring song I posted (a few?) months ago.

Well, maybe in the spirit of all things Pixie-ish, it looks like the band got back together May 1st (last wknd). Apparently, most of the band found out they were playing that night in the usual Louisville, KY way -they read it in the paper that day. Our friend chatted the news to us as the band was on stage at The Rudyard Kipling (http://www.therudyardkipling.com), and [expletive deleted]! we were really dissappointed not to be able to see it.

I hated seeing the music ring die one more time, 'cause it's so hard/good to find new music. Here's the link to the song I posted, for anyone that might be interested:

So, if we wanted to get the "Ring" goin' again, I 'spose I could start it up!

FWI, that's a good one.

At least you didn't ramble on in a run on sentence and miss spell every other word just to reiterate to people that you really are drunk. Cause we all know drunks slur when they type.

For your honesty I'll let you off with a warning. This time. I've got my eye on you.

Sweet!!! Music Ring Lives!!!

Only, reincarnated in a slightly altered version of the original.

Ok. Truthfully, I am drunk. Please don't book me for Foruming While Intoxicated, Thomas!

Switching gears, but Music Ring related.

Seeing as some of you didn't like the loud quiet dynamics of the Baboon song I posted I thought I'd take this chance to post a link to their new Video.

I was. I started a Devils Workshop one but I got bored like I do. I should get a medal for the amount of entertainment I've provided you people with. :)

Were you the one who started the whole Survivor thing, then?

I agree with Dean in that we should move it. I always mistakenly looked in WHtP, before I would realize it's in here.

Also, I enjoyed the Evergreen tune. I'll have to search out the other one that was up earlier. I don't remember if I heard it the first time around.

I'm definitely in for the Music Ring, too. We should put it in Whatever Happened to Pong, though, if we didn't last time.

Hmmm, not sure where you can hear more Evergreen, Sir Rockabye. The rest of the album that song is from is even better. Hopefully they'll be putting out a new album in the near future.

Malax, whose song never got a listen? I must have missed something too. Did you get sick of Evergreen cause you think it sucks, or was it a case of overload?

(I'm still game for the Music Ring before it gets archived)

The last song I DL'd from the Ring was bedrock_barney's, I think

A Tomahawk song.

Did I miss the final?

I really really liked evergreen for a while. As for the ring the person who was last got a raw deal because his songs never got a listen. Rise!

Thanks for that link Apl, I don't think I caught that song the first time around. Are there any other places I can hear these Evergreen characters? I'm really digging the bass line to this song.
