Kazaa lite is no more, anyone know a good substitute? Something i can get audio and video files off of?
please no moral high horse crap, I actually buy all my music, I need this for rare stuff and nudity. |

For rare audio stuff use a BitTorrent program and hang around www.sharingthegroove.org.

the one i use and think works great is Limewire. is doesnt allow spyware, i dont know if thats true or not, but if you run spybot with it that will take care of any spyware you do get. |

I downloaded KaZaa Lite about 2 weeks ago..... had to do a bit of searching but it was still there.... I'm gonna look into Soulseek though as KaZaa Lite (although a great find for someone living in China) is a little limiting for the music that I listen to (in that I canno find a large proportion of the stuff I want to download).

If you're afraid of Spyware, download Spybot:Search and Destroy from Download.com . It's free and takes care of spyware. Ad Aware is also a good program for this.

My computer got infected with spyware, and I got nervous. I've deleted it and re-downloaded it before, no sweat, so I was surprised to see I no longer could.
Usenet sounds cool, I'll check it out. |

For audio/video, I only use the Usenet. You can't get stuff "on demand" like you can with P2P, but check the groups every day or two and eventually you'll get everything you wanted and a lot more. The quality is consistently better and if you have a good news service provider, it will be a lot faster. Plus you won't have uploaders sucking bandwidth from you and worry about getting busted for violating the DMCA with the RIAA up your ass. |
