No, this post is not about that wicked Pulp song.

I知 talking about the real thing here, having babies. I know of at least two brave regulars to the forum having mentioned being parents. I知 guessing the average age on this board is around early twenties, most of the folks on here are a good ten years away from even starting to think about having kids. My friends and I are hitting our mid-thirties and during the past month two couples have announced they have a baby on the way.

In a year I値l have to baby-proof the house when they come over, my cats will have to learn new survival skills and conversation will be about disposable diapers and not the new Frank Black album. The times they are a-changing.

If that picture is real, then I feel bad for the poor baby. But it's not really real. Is it?

Just checking that you meant, if he/she was a girl.

Yeah I guess I would be attracted to someone with that cool a taste in music.

But seeing as he is a guy...................

By the way Malax, where in Manchester DO you live??? I don't think you have ever mentioned it exactly, not to me anyway.

Kids scare me. I awlays said the only way id have kids is if i was like over 33 - had lots of money, and in a secure relationship. And i accidentally fell pregnant, id think about it.

However, i must be getting older, cos ive gone all maternal. Not with kids, i still hate kids, but wanting my own,.

Id only have 1 ..maybe two, and they would have to be boys.

Malax - i thought you were a guy as well!!

See this topic for my kid's story: http://forum.frankblack.net/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=7365

I'm 27, have a 3-year-old daughter, and one on the way.
Believe me, I keep up with Frank Black and The Pixies pretty good. Not as well as I used to, but that may be due to my not keeping up with technology. My daughter won't let me put anything in besides Frank Black. I don't really know if she understands that there are different bands yet, but she seems to like it.
Kids are hard work, but when things happen like the forum topic I mentioned above, you realize you don't know what you would do without them.
I do recommend not having kids too young though, as I enjoyed that time too.

I am a man with 3 fingers...but that doesn't count my index finger nor my thumb.

Oh my god, that poor baby. Nice how the toddler focused on coloring in the eyes. I would have freaked if I walked in and found that.
Carolynanna Posted - 05/04/2004 : 10:56:24
hehehe, exactly.

My son had groucho eyebrows and moustache for weeks.

He also drew all over my couch with this permanent marker.
So when I had the grand mal spaz I yelled "D what the hell is that"
to which he replied simply "Its a snake".

I love babies. I used to be a nanny for a newborn (and was at the birth) and I also did a cooperative care thing for four kids from when they were 1 until they were 2-ish. Now many of my best friends have kids, including twin girls. They are super fun. I can't wait to have kids of my own, but first I need money and sperm. :)

I work with kids, but can't stand the music they make them listen to.

They seem to love,

Jonathon Richmond (who I claim is Raffi for adults)
Beach Boys
REM
W. Guthrie (who wrote hundreds of songs for his children)

Well, I'm not a parent, but I became an uncle for the first time on April 13th, sadly overshadowed by the rebirth of the Pixies. Sorry, kid. I was in Minneapolis when you were born.

A while ago I called up to some friends and their fouryearold son said when he heard the knock, though I hadn't been there for more than a week,'If that's Owen I'll be really happy.'
