Posted - 04/30/2004 : 14:04:42 I know it is dorky and silly but I am very into horoscopes lately. Does anyone have any "good" online ones they read regularly? My faves are:
www.cainer.com
www.astrology-zone.com
and the ones on www.elle.com which are kind of vagina based. Hee.
Anyway, please share!

Posted - 05/03/2004 : 01:12:14 Yeah, a thats a birth chart Jim, what you did, but i domine by hand (never trust technology!)
It basically gives you a look atevery aspect of your self and you personality by what planets where where when you were born.
Its like gravitational forces - big things pulls move smaller things - kinda like the earth and the sun...so obviously the planets have a HUGE effect on to us, and how we behave - just like how weather effects people differently and stuff like that.
I love you for what I am not, I did not ask for what I have got.
You will get used to me. Welcome to your new joy. |

Posted - 05/02/2004 : 07:27:38 There was a site like that I knew of as well, and I can't find it either. I will keep looking. It was fun to do for other people when you were looking for extra insight.
A BIRTH CHART is specific to YOU. Where you were born, what time, etc. It relates all the planets to you and what was in which "house" etc. It's just much deeper than a horoscope which applies to everyone in a certain sign. A birth chart is just for you. I had mine done, it's pretty cool and right on in many ways.

Posted - 05/01/2004 : 20:21:54 Mel has read a lot from her books to me about star signs and such and I find a lot of what they say to be very true and accurate, but it's not like I'd let such a thing dictate my life. I'd like to see how I compare to other star signs, though...to see if I have more matches with a Leo, let's say, than a Capricorn (which is what I am).
I do remember several years back, there was a website or something where you enter in your birthdate and perhaps even the time you were born, and there was a HUGE amount of information about your sign and stuff, and I was totally shocked at how accurate that information was...completely shocked. I thought I saved it somewhere but damned if I can find it (I wish I could really). It was pretty amazing stuff.

I dont necessarily believe in horoscopes, like the day to day things, but Birthcharts, I do.
Obviously, there are a huge amount of factors which go in to birthcharts, and determine you personality and charcterstics from this.
I know that sounds like a total cop out, but its verymuch true, I have doen birth charts for my self, and a lot of my friends and family - each on has been completely accurate,.
You have to remember that horoscopes are basing it on you being a totally 'typical' cancer/leo/aries or whatever you are, with the majority of your panets with in that area of your chart, so no, they arent going to apply to everyone - that would be ridiculous. which is why i dont lead mylife by them, however, star signs and birth charts i very much believe in.
I know some people say how when you read things about yourself you try to make them relevant - a sort of placebo if you like, but this isnt true. Not in the cases I have come across anyway.
I dont think you can truly have an opinon on the matter uness youve had a birthchart done by soem one who knows what they are doing.
I love you for what I am not, I did not ask for what I have got.

For those of us less educated on the subject, IE me, could you explain what a birth chart is?

Posted - 05/01/2004 : 19:13:36 You can see a picture of my tattoo as soon as I have someone take a photo of it. I tried on my own, but it's too hard.
I don't BELIEVE that horoscopes are the Holy Grail or something, I ALWAYS take them with a grain of salt, but lately they have been RIGHT ON THE MONEY and it's pretty weird. I don't know if it means anything, but I look at it as something like - if the stars are on my side, well, that can't hurt.

Posted - 04/30/2004 : 23:53:40 Ramona, if you tell people that the tattoo is your "sign" they are going to more than likely assume it's Pisces...even though the Pisces glyph looks like this: )-(
You know what I mean, hahaha, what made you get the glyph instead of a little crab? |

Posted - 04/30/2004 : 20:32:25 I'm a Cancer. And I DO believe it, so screw you. Get outta my thread!
I have the tattoo for the glyph of Cancer (which looks like 69 turned on its side) on my lower back.

Posted - 04/30/2004 : 15:54:39 Your midwife has a greater gravitational force on you at birth than any star or planet besides the sun. The entire logic behind horoscopes is ridiculous. Don't believe that crap, not even for shits and giggles. It lowers us as a people.
Unless you find it fun. Then its okay. |

Posted - 04/30/2004 : 15:46:15 Cainer is my fav.
Not so much in to horoscopes as I am actual star signs - and the way these interact with eachother, and the planetary effects upon a person.
What star sign are you Ramona? ohh, a thread Idea!
